Do they nerf the higher rated team in RS? Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this. Thanks!
-
I'd say no, and that the perception of having the higher rated team skews the players view right away, making him think it will be an easy win

I personally think RNG is elevated for the first 3-4 of innings. It seems to keep the other player thinking they can compete with the higher quality team. After that, the real skills come in to play. But that's just my opinion.

No of corse not, every other online sports game does... but not sds. They would never move stuff around behind the scenes to insure bad players are ablr to be competitive, thus keeping them interested in the game, thus keeping another avenue of potential profit engaged and playing.
You wouldn't go spending money on stubs if you are constantly getting beat. On the flip side you would be less willing to spend money if you were winning most of your games.
This is a problem for the middle class of gamers. The players that are truly terrible are going to be terrible regardless, and the goons are going to win mpst of their games no matter what. So these algorithms and such are for those of us in the middle. We are the cash cow. They rely on the average gamers but cater to the terrible and amazing gamers.
Just my thinking. People will shout you down and smear you as a conspirator, but these sports games all want that EA money, and EA has admitted to using and even patented systems designed to help out lesser players/teams.

GoStros…..don’t you get the defenders going

You don’t really know who the higher rated team is till the end of the game, no?

I took the question as higher rated team as in higher rated cards, my bad lol

Tbh I've never really given it any thought or focused on it, so I don't really have an informed opinion either way

Every time I win, it’s 100% attributable to skill.
Every time I lose, it’s because SDS put their thumb on the scale. (Or the other guy cheated!)

I feel this is true in all aspects of life.

I won't deny that there may be some balancing system in the background however it won't be a system to give the advantage of the lower rank squad reason for this is once the player base figures iy out then we would see team constantly trying to always be the lower rated team..

“Behind me, I heard a young woman of 25 say, "If it weren’t for my horse, I wouldn’t have spent that year in college." Now, I'm gonna repeat that, because it bears repeating. "If it weren't for my horse..." as in, giddyup, giddyup, let's go — "I wouldn't have spent that year in college," which is a degree-granting institution. Don't think about that too long, or BLOOD will shoot out your NOSE!”

I thought EA's line is that they don't touch the online play with any of the DDA? Nobody believes them but that's a far cry from EA admitting it.

Yeah they had a lawsuit filed against them saying that they were basically scripting outcomes. That's where the EA patent on DDA was uncovered. They claim they don't use it but cmon. A company wouldn't spend the time and resources to create and patent somthing and then just not use it. If you've ever played madden ultimate team it's obvious. All the sudden your 99 speed players will be literally jogging to allow your opponent success.
If nothing else it's a fun rabbit hole to go down for a bit.

Just a reminder the team that is higher ranked is the level of gameplay you will be playing on. This is why when i search for match i move left stick over to match up with approximately same level.
