Baserunning Errors....anyone else?

I played a fair number of conquest games and never seen this happen. Did you accidentally hit a button to make them return to the bag?

Base running issues happened to me a decent amount in the first month or two after release. Not much the last few weeks. I had the opposite problem from you though, it was especially bad on balls clearly falling in the gap where they'd hold the runner on 2nd, from what I remember it was mostly on plays where I would have walked it off if that runner scored, so even more annoying

I see it happen often. A ball the runner should be advancing on or looking to see if they can they dive back to the bag

No.......I had one last night with the bases loaded and a ground ball (not a one hopper, just a normal ground ball) and all three runners dove back to the base.

For the first month or so, every time I tried to steal 2nd base with Kenny Lofton, he would stop halfway between the bases and just stand there like an idiot. It happened several times, and only with Lofton and only on a steal to 2nd. He kept going if it was a hit and run, but he just gave up as soon as the catcher had it in his glove. Pretty weird bug, but that's the only baserunning problem I've had this year.

The only thing that bothers me is when I hit advance, they dive back, then I hit back knowing they’re going to dust themselves off and then advance, even through I am hitting back a lot, they then advance and easily get tagged out.

I was on the Operation Sports forum a minute ago and one guy made a video of the problem, so it definitely exists. Runner on first goes half way on a fly ball, and then immediately goes back to the bag. Problem is that there were two outs, so he should have just gone on contact. Link to the video is below.

Right..sometimes it happens on two outs and other times it happens with less than 2 outs and a clear ground ball is hit and the runner at first goes back. The D turns a double play and the runner on first is still standing there.

I just watched the video and that is exactly what happens. Heck, sometimes they dive back into the base on a grounder.

I’ve been making bad baserunning plays ever since I got a PS5. I’m usually very good on the base paths but now my runners are always stopping. I guess I’m bumping R2 while swinging sometimes but it never happened on ps4.

I know the one of the things they said they fixed in patch 7, was that if your guy sees the ball is not going to be caught, he will not stop halfway but just keep going. I've actually seen this happen in RttS. I haven't seen the guys go randomly back to the bag though
