I’ll tell myself to keep spamming balls in the dirt but somehow they always creep up into the lower part of the zone for an easy HR

It is possible to hit balls out of the zone…in this game and real baseball. A lot of people throw everything below the zone and it can become very predictable. It can really simply things for the hotter. I am not a great hitter, but when this happens I just setup in the bottom of the zone and even days when I am not super patient, can wind up with a lot of singles and when they miss a bit, still hit it out of the park.
Same thing with people who want to throw sliders away. Point is…throwing everything out of the zone can be very predictable. In all honesty, the pitchers who probably give me the most trouble are the ones who throw 75% way out of the zone and 25% in the zone.

I have a completely different experience than you. What are you playing and what difficulty for the most part?

Technically if they foul it off or miss it, it is a strike regardless of where you throw it

HOF is waaaaay better. I felt the same way until I got to 700 rating last RS. Trust me you will like it a lot better.
