How to Catch Fly Balls up against the wall

How do I catch fly balls that are going to hit the wall? At dodger stadium, the ball landing indicator is up against the wall but I cannot figure out if I need to jump, or just stand in front of it to make the catch. I've tried both and neither seem to work, but it is a ball that should be caught

Sorry man, but it's an absolute [censored] show trying to catch those balls. At least until they address the fielding mechanics...

It's a crapshoot sometimes you can stand against the wall and your fielder will catch it other times you can stand against the wall and it will hit him in the freaking face. There is no rhyme or reason to any of this.
