Why can't I hit certain players
-
No BP with DD but all these players in DD should be available on various rosters in game (legend teams, or the Twins in Buxtons instance) so you can certainly practice.
Sometimes its self-pressure. You want to do well so you're overly eager on hittable pitches and roll them over or twitch the PCI too hard. Sometimes its the swing. Sometimes all it takes is moving them around in the batting order. Maybe you don't hit well with him in the leadoff spot but down in the line up he might have some guys on in front of him and see better pitches

That's why I've been using zone + analog with stride. Timing windows with buttons are too inconsistent from hitter to hitter.

Thanks for responding.
I do use zone analog . Never tried stride.
Moving them around sounds like a good idea. Never thought about how leadoff probably doesn't get as good as pitched as lower down.

Some swing types/batting stances just click with certain players . I usually prefer batting stances where u don’t see the batter at all in Strike zone camera that’s another thing try out different Hitting views that can help .

With stride, you can start your leg kick earlier, hold it and then push forward. You make your own timing window.
Also, if you play online, if you do the leg kick on every pitch even if you intend to take, the opponent doesn't know if you're taking or swinging, compared to buttons.

Interesting so you make your own timing. I will try it.
Thanks

Does stride still use the pci?

I’ve been using that off and on lately also with good results. I switch back to button if I have a laggy connection and the sinkers are coming in too fast.

Yes, zone with input method analog.
For analog, there’s a subsetting that is stride or flick
