Why?

I dont get why people still quit in ranked, like if you're getting rocked, 1, i get its not fun but at the seem time its a care free time to get more practice online and get better (even tho its frustrating) and 2, its an inning based reward system, its not like quitting out to next game so you can win nets you progress, thats just my thought, stay up kings, god bless.

PPL are doing what's called "b_um hunting"
i did that last year, felt terrible, i'd rather lose to someone better than use the "its more fun" excuse this year.

I may be in the minority here, but I play RS simply for the competition. Every now and then you run into a guy who crushes anything and everything you throw, or you go up against a pitcher that you just flat out can't touch (especially after some cocktails)....it just is what it is. Would rather chalk it up as an L then waste time being miserable.
And it's not me being a sore loser, its simply a time thing.

uh bc your pitchers have stamina and if youre rocked that could snowball to loosing streak since you dont have a bullpen. thats my thoughts though I rarely quit.

but essentially you're not wasting time, as you can still get innings to work towards the reward, as well as getting care free at bats. Are you really stressing in an at bat down 7 runs? Thats like the perfect time to get better.

If I can’t hit, I stay in the game, which is basically every game.
If the other guy crushes everything no matter where I put it, I’ll hang to see if it’s a fluke, but if it’s just rage inducing, I’ll quit. No use feeling aggravated for an extra 4-5 innings.

let me ask you this, if a No-No is being thrown do you quit before you get a hit?

I really don't care about using RS to work towards rewards....thats why they have Conquest, Moments, etc. And I get your take on getting better, but I am a fairly above average player whos been around for quite some time. If I'm quitting a game, theres a justified reason for it.

There is two lines of thinking, how you see it and how the “how many batters do I need to use before I can quit for PXP” see it.
Playing games out and getting better makes moments and showdowns and every other game easier but some people just restart moments 15xs till they get a double and go from there. Then ask how to beat a showdown because quitting doesn’t help you score 1 run with 12 outs which is still a bigger struggle for them then quitting infinite times till they hit a homerun.
At least they made it 8 batters for PXP or you’d be getting quits at 0-0 in the first again all year.

This is the reason I quit. If I'm getting beat by 6 and know how the game is going, I'm going to save my bullpen. Not to mention I can start another game and be further into it.

No, because I’m still working on speed, release, break, location to get better at hitting online. Down 8-0 in the 4th with a no hit? Good chance I’ll quit; but down 3-4 nothing in the 6th and beyond, no. Not your fault I’m not good enough.
Unless the guy is being intentionally d-baggy by taking max time between pitches, stepping off, R2ing 2-3 times each pitch (supposed to stop today according to 1.06), pausing 3-4 times per inning, and trying to get in my head, I’ll make sure to get a hit, or I’ll quit with one out remaining (hasn’t happened yet, but would be funny though)

exactly, I dont blame others that quit around inning 5, and really the only time I even somewhat go ah man they quit is in BR for the xp lost and inherently harder matchup for the xp I need in that BR challenege mission ( I think likw 4000xp total in a run)
