Patch Notes Wrong?

Once per pitcher would be dumb. So if you leave a pitcher in a ranked game for 7+ innings I'm only allowed to check pitch history ONE time? The main issue with R2 was people tapping it to mess up the pitch which shouldn't happen now.
-
To be fair sinkers were the easiest pitch to throw using pinpointing my opinion. I always questioned why the made the most effective pitch the easiest to throw. I was happy when I saw this

You have a pause button. Use it.

Yes; pause: go to stats, pitching stats, select team, then pitcher, then hitter, then current or previous AB. Rinse repeat for every hitter . That’s less annoying and time consuming than R2 for both players.

You have a game limit on pause time to stop that. In actual baseball a batter doesn’t get to see pitch history they have to remember it. They really just need to get rid of R2 entirely, as 99% of people use it for griefing and nothing else

How on this ever loving earth would you rather someone pause spam than hit r2 for a second? Pause should be removed from the game like every other online multiplayer game. You R2 complainers must be doing something to your opponent to make them hold r2 every pitch. I only see the spammers once maybe every thousand games.

This is a good thing! People can press it long enough to set thier PCI Lock without disrupting the game. While still alleviating the quick pitch. Well done SDS

You just sound like a crybaby honestly. I have always used R2 to check pitches and history. Never used it to throw someone off. I've also played many people who did the same. This is the dumbest thing to cry about

PCI lock doesn't have the same effect as R2 and wasn't why this change was made. Also quick pitching is a nonsense excuse used by R2 users to justify being toxic 98% of the time
-
100% agree. It should be once per pitcher. Not once per pitch. Just an opinion. Or take it away all the way which would be the best.
-
It doesn't say in online play, so it can't be once per pitcher. You are telling off-line players they can't just easily check pitch history, opposing pitchers stamina and confidence by hitting R2 only 1 time. I even hate the 3 second thing, sometimes I use r2 to check something in real life rather than pausing. I'd never do it in an online game, but because some jerks are misusing the R2 button in online play we all would have to suffer?
-
I would love for them to take it away just for all the people complaining to come on and complain about everyone pausing every pitch or batter.

The pretty simple solution is for R2 to give you the same information without effecting the pitcher at all. Using it for information has never been a problem

That would definitely be the ideal solution. Regardless of whether you are holding R2 the pitcher can still strat their windup and pitch
-
Like the pitcher doesn't see it at all. And if the batter does it to late it would then just affect his swing. That would be fair for everyone.

Idk man, I agree r2 shouldnt effect thevpitcher at all as well, but also wouldn't want to face outlier and changups in rapid fire.
-
It’s fine the way it is. Reduce the pause timer, limit the number of uses, or preferentially get rid of it entirely.

Then pause or step out.

I didn't say PCI Lock had same effect. I said people use R2 so they can lock it it in to the zone. As far as quick pitching being a nonsense excuse, well that's your opinion but there was a pretty heated debate about it last year and i think the way they balanced it this year shows they do pay attention.
Goes two way then Quick pitchers saying R2 spammers are toxic is a nonsense excuse for quick pitchers being mad b/c SDS alleviated the exploit of quick pitching problem that plagued for so many years.
And no this was not why PCI lock was implemented. PCI lock is for those who cannot move sticks fast enough or keep it steady to follow ball. Giving them a place to lock within the zone.

People spam R2 when there are no runners on base. Its impossible to "quick pitch" when no runners on base. If you are talking about wuick pitching as people balking with Kenley Jansen than I can agree on what quick pitching is considered. But people that actively cry about quick pitching most of the time just aren't good hitters and need 35 seconds to think about what pitch to flail at rather than being in the box ready to hit
