I miss the extra innings mode
-
I honestly do, I used to go against the top players teams on HOF/Legend to warm up against the best pitchers in the game.
I know mini seasons is more rewarding and I am thankful for it, but… I’d like to have more collection teams added to the mode, the whales and the cats are the only competition on higher difficulties.

You’re likely the only one.

I think mini seasons is a good replacement. Even the bottom tier teams are usually at least better than playing a regular MLB team. Maybe they could add the Boomers or whatever into the play vs CPU mode.
-
I liked it too, especially since they added te option to grind stats/pxp instead of being straight up exhibitions

I agree with you, so you are not the only one. I really enjoyed Extra Innings last year and loved playing it on HOF...I really wanted a season mode designed around that. I know people are saying that is what Mini Seasons is, but they really are not. Extra Innings was the only real way to play DD games in a traditional nine inning format offline and now the only way to play nine inning games is with RS or CPU and CPU games are not really DD. The teams in Extra Innings also seemed to be good teams that provided a great matchup. With Mini Seasons a team is either stacked or has absolutely nothing. I think it would have been really cool to add Mini Seasons as it is and leave Extra Innings the way it was. I am assuming they needed a tab on the screen for Mini Seasons, so they took away Extra Innings.

It’s another 9 innings mode taken away; it’s either RS or CPU with MLB teams. Everything else is 3 innings: conquests, events, BR, mini-season.
Sometimes I like to get a flow with my SP and see if he’ll stick in the rotation or not.

And yet in my mini-seasons, they have losing records. Weird.
