I just finished getting Dawson & Riizo at the same time 3 days ago. So far Rizzo is at 231 PxP & Dawson is at 243 PxP so far. The both each have 21 AB's & at this pace, it so far looks like it will take them 40 to 45 AB's to reach Phase 1 if neither of them 2 gets hot all of a sudden. This is very disapointing because looking at thier attribute & overall card rank. I was expecting for them to play better for me then what they been showing so far.
This is why I am very hesitant & cautious to buy cards off the market that sell for 150K & up. Eventually down the road I will buy them all for sake of collections. But I do NOT rush to buy them with intentions of using them & taking that gamble if they will play good for me or play badly for me.
Who else uses this method to evaluate a new card or will look it to trying it?

It only really works for power hitters but not a bad way to evaluate if you are still including other factors.

I had Reynolds fotf card, he did terrible first 20 games, but had no one to replace him with, now iam batting over 300 with him -

I only use specific players that I want to use, regardless of their swing. Sometimes it takes a bit to get going with a certain card, but once you get used to them, you can be good with anyone. It also helps online by noticing how people pitch to certain cards because a lot of people tend to have similar strategies based on their stance.

I only use specific players that I want to use, regardless of their swing. Sometimes it takes a bit to get going with a certain card, but once you get used to them, you can be good with anyone. It also helps online by noticing how people pitch to certain cards because a lot of people tend to have similar strategies based on their stance.
I do the same basically only play with guys I like, I never Pay attention to someone's swing tbh, either I can hit with em or I can't
Never get how someone's swing would influence how well he hits anyways

I used this tonight when I got POTM Rizzo to P1. This is all from the current, and last, Event.
G: 53
AB: 31
R: 5
H: 8
HR: 3
RBI: 4
BA: .258
OBP: .258
SLG: .548
OPS: .086Pretty sure the only reason I got him to P1 so fast was the ABs.
I'm 10 pts shy from finishing the AP POTM Program; so I'll probably leave him in my Event lineup until I finish it.
But I doubt he stays in any lineup other than one that requires POTM cards.

It's way too small a sample size. Over time, with the same level of input, the cards will play exactly to their listed attributes.
In the beginning I absolutely raked with gold live series Rendon. He's been replaced multiple times over with cards with better attributes. I raked with FOTF Josh Bell, he's been replaced.
If you use objectively worse cards because of your own personal results, especially with a small sample size, you're doing yourself a disservice.

I've used frank thomas for 4 years now. I don't need 100 AB to know his swing is garbage
