What are you talking about? The point is they shouldn't be able to make contact with the ball that far out of the zone. They should be out. There are many times I do get them out. I thought the goal was for the game to simulate baseball?
I’m not disagreeing with you. A hitter with good PCI skills can foul off lots of pitches and prolong at-bats. I’m sure you do the same when you’re hitting. It IS annoying.
My point is, it is not impossible to strike people out on AS.
It's not impossible but it doesn't happen at the rate that it should. Also, players get rewarded for having bad plate discipline because they get prolonged at bats for swinging at bad pitches.
Yes, that is true.
My problem with your point is, rather than improving AS for everyone, all you seem to care about is making BR HOF so you don’t have to deal with it.
It's not that I don't care about it, it's that it doesn't have anything to do with the point of this thread I started. The point is, BR has the biggest rewards. It's very competitive. It should be on a competitive difficulty. Also and more importantly, I think HOF does a better job of playing like real baseball.
Honestly, the bigger the pci, the more RNG they have to include to make the game have somewhat realistic results. If the pci was the size of the strikezone, it would all be RNG other than timing because otherwise you'd always drive the ball.
-
Only thing I can think of is opening the timing windows up more on all star if you want to keep pitch speeds the same. Otherwise a lot of players will get frustrated and quit.

It's not so much the speeds. I think the pci size is the bigger deal, although I think the pitch speeds on HOF are good, I don't think they're much different from All Star on the current patch. I think the pci size is the bigger difference.

I actually agree with you, but IMO, it would make more sense to just correct the problem everywhere. Those of us competing in ranked below 700 are just as frustrated as you are.

Fair enough. Not sure what the solution for that is. Maybe shrink the All Star pci but not quite as much at the HOF pci?

I'm not saying you're wrong. I just can't play HoF online. the PCI is too small for me to use with an analog stick. Kudos to you fellas who can, but I making precise movements is just not something these thumbs were built for. Now if I had some sort of twin stick controller...
What they mean is that they would be able to win easier in BR if it were on HoF. It makes it harder for people with less reaction time. That is all they care about. Same discussion every year and these guys have to same old argument. I personally do not care either way, but them saying the game plays better on HoF just means it plays better for them on HoF. They are not looking out for the community like they want you to believe. They just cant say, "Make BR HoF so that I can win more often." Does not sound as nice. They HATE the fact that they can lose on All Star and that it gives other people with slower reflexes a chance.
"BR should be on All-Star so people who aren't as good at the game have a better chance of winning".
I fixed what you said.
-
I don’t know. I’ve struggled hard with how small the PCI is on AS now, since whichever patch that was. I’ve pretty much turned it off other than the center dots.
How much smaller does it need to get? Realistically, All-star PCI is already what HOF was last year and nobody was complaining about it being too big in HOF then.
-
After thinking about it I now agree, but BR it should be on Legend difficulty. After all it is for the best rewards in the game. Only the best of the best should be able to go 12-0. Lesser HoF players have no business winning those rewards. Also, then the value of those cards would be even higher for the best of the best that can attain 12-0 on Legend. I will sign any petition for this to happen.

I'd be more okay with legend than All Star. You do realize that whether it was on legend or HOF it would make little difference in who wins, right? Even on All Star, the best player still usually wins. The odds are just not quite as good and the experience is less like baseball.

So in a game mode where the goal is to go 12-0, you think the lesser players should win?
Also, it's not just because I'll win more. It's legitimately more fun. It's not fun when players with no plate discipline keep fouling off my pitches way out of the zone, and I can't throw a high fastball ever because they regularly get crushed. There are almost no strikeouts on All Star. It's awful.
I get tons of Ks on AS, what are you on?

Really good players crush the ball on All-Star? You sure? Because most of them complain constantly about playing on All-Star. You keep wanting to go back to that. I said my primary argument was that the game plays better on HOF. You seem to be trying to turn it into so elitist thing like I'm bragging about being good and I'm acting entitled, when in reality I'm advocating for the game mode to be on a difficulty that better simulates baseball, which is the point of the video game, to simulate baseball.

In a game mode where they give out the best rewards, the gameplay should play accordingly aka hall of fame or legend, why should a lesser mode like events which gives out worse rewards play on a harder difficulty than the mode that currently gives out the best rewards? Logically that doesn't make any sense.

I get that but to be real honest then they need to do skill base match making then go by records or stats or by who makes WS and stays at a certain point of 700,800 and so forth and match those people up so it gives the lesser a chance period with guys on their level. I'm not ever gonna make WS or do a 12-0 BR run playing against the likes of the top players ever but if I get match on Legend or HOF with guys my speed or playing lvl at least I have a chance and if I lose it was on me not because I got mashed by a top 5 player which I did the other night by McGuigan but I understand the top guys deserve the best rewards but win it against guys on your level not at my expense I paid for the game just as you did and as I said without the trash players buying this game you wouldn't be playing this anyway because 1 your going against the best and getting stomped or not enough sales to keep SDS is business
