The Predetermined Ground Rule Double
-
You know its coming, and its always at the worst times. Wish they would fix how often it happens because it's pretty rare in real life....noticing it more and more over the last 2-3 years.

I have always been amazed by the exaggerated bouncing ball physics in this game. The balls never bounced this high on Astroturf.
-
I feel like it real has to do with how the game is coded for a ball that hits the ground. I think about the second huge hop the ball gets when you hit a dribbler in front of the plate. Its like the surface is made of concrete not grass. Heck even the astroturf fields of the 80s did not give this much bounce.

Some of them on some pretty well hit line drives to the gaps.....think youre about to clear the bases with a triple and BOINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

This is why my team plays home games at Majestic Greens…a really nice and underutilized park.

You can telep by the lag in your outfielders when this is already determined.

Each time that happens I'm reminded 2004 ALCS game 5 Tony Clark game is over if the ball doesn't bounce like a basketball over the 4 foot wall
So that's about 6 times a day I'm reminded about that

I love when you hit a homrun into a crowd full of reaching fans and the ball lands between all of them and bounces 20 feet in the air like it's got flubber on it.

CPU forces animations for you to ENSURE that you can't reach the ball. It does this with foul balls and ground rule doubles consistently for the last 3 titles.

It's as if Astroturf has returned with a vengeance
