I’m only a few months into my AA season and I’ll tell you I’ve grown bored of this being the exact same mode as last year. Same podcast episodes that do nothing for me because they’re generalized and offer nothing to the gameplay. Same trainings maybe once a week that only do 2 attributes per session. Same perk/progression system as last year that takes an eternity to progress. Same in-game challenges that I’m not even reading. And same bugs plus a few new ones. Stop putting me in for a fielding “opportunity” at SS when it’s a base hit clearly past the infield. And why is it every time I go to check on my ballplayer progression, it refreshes his appearance to high socks and wearing every piece of equipment I own? I turned those equipment pieces off in the appearance page for a reason. I wouldn’t ever wear a compression sleeve under a 3/4 sleeve jersey lol and I’ve heard yall are having major issues with the game stopping you from starting year 2.
I remember that perk tree thing from a few years back and I’d rather have that back over this. It’s just so stale so quickly and monotonous. Bring back the training points system! And SDS WHY JUST WHY can’t we do the whole combine thing again to determine our starting stats, then progress to 99 in every attribute like we used to? If I wanna be the best five-tool SS or catcher or outfielder there ever was, let me! Get rid of this segmented archetype [censored] where I can only have two or three of the five tools.
And lastly, on behalf of all RTTS players ever,
BRING BACK YEAR TO YEAR SAVES. It’s not worth grinding hours and hours of seasons to have to call it quits next March just to start over.
If you read this far, I’m sorry

I agree. It's just a shame I have to wait another year to maybe get a more detailed immersion RTTS game.

They said in the pre-release stream that they did this because people felt it was too strong in DD, but you know how you fix that, SDS? You don't link it to DD.

I still love the pitching grind tho. The chase for a perfect game while pitching on legendary + while experimenting with different pitches and deliveries for me is enough to keep playing every year, all year long.

A few of My biggest complaints about RTTS pitching:

    1. Need More player pitching motion options
    2. Custom pitching motions
    3. Arm actions and delivery angles should have an effect on how much movement you can put on specific pitches.(to somewhat emulate throwing multiple types of pitches from the same pocket.)
    4. Have an off-season mode only to improve / add new pitches & in-season training only for H9 / BB9 / HR9 etc

    Totally agree with this.
Probably the only good change in The Show 22 is how you can choose your arsenal, and not rely on the weekly training to change one pitch. In 21, after maxing out all player attributes, the weekly training forced me to change a pitch, as I could not select any other training option! So, even after I finally had the 5 pitches I wanted in my arsenal, I'd have to replace one wantonly at the weekly training.
