That is the biggest pile of [censored] I've come across since I visited my uncle's farm last year.
Playing DD, an online mode with some offline grinding element, I should turn on the power, get auto-complete 34-0 in mini-seasons and get Randy Johnson 99 as a reward.
/Whoosh

Oh no, it didn't. You can play on Rookie and still get most rewards. Did you complain about the Babe Ruth program 2 years ago, where you HAD to play on HoF and Legend? Was that impeding on YOUR offline game (that's beyond ridiculous).

It has never been strictly an online game mode, and if its meant to be an online game mode why has online gameplay been sh*t for the last 5 years?.

Well, it is in the sense that you have to be connected to get rewards and stuff and it's not stored on you HDD.
If you play online, do you have to play Event, BR and RS, or just the one(s) you like? Imagine being able to get to WS playing on Rookie. Mini-seasons is that; a free bone with little effort that is entirely optional. They didn't take anything out to accomodate it, apart vs DD CPU teams that is basically the same thing he complained about.

Mini seasons gives you an 88 ovr card if your lucky enough for your final game to count, for other rewards you have to play at higher difficulties,It’s nowhere near RS or BR. It’s an attempt by SDS to replicate squad battles, except it doesn’t actually work. Online play still has the best rewards which is fine, except the online gameplay is god awful as usual.

Mini Seasons:
Casual player offline only, only have the chance to play a few times a week. Wasn't going to buy the game this year, but heard about offline seasons and decided to take a dip. The reasoning behind playing offline is to excuse yourself from people who pay thousands of dollars the first day a game comes out for the best team. So, finding out that each mini season has two fully 99 teams, literally the best in the game, was a let down. I Beat the season, restarted and found yet again 2 fully 99 teams to face, like it is a template. As a matter of principle: I'm not playing against teams that cost thousands of dollars day one, if you want to spend your money like that, who cares, but it's infringing on my offline game now. If I wanted that experience, I'd play online and sweat my days away.Streamers and Packs:
I watched about 6 different streamers pull trout day one after opening like 100 dollars of packs, another streamer pull 8 diamonds from 50 regular packs, pulling pujols in the first chase pack, etc etc
So I grinded the market and made around 150k, spent it on packs and after opening around 85 assorted packs I got one diamond. Wooooo. Out of 2 chase packs (one from the bundle and the other was in a pack) i got a gold player and got the aforementioned diamond Corbin burnes. Never have i felt so disincentivized to pay money in a game. As for grinding the market: it's like a whole game in itself and requires a decent amount of time to make any significant profit. Pair that with people undercutting by a thousand coins (seriously, I don't understand it.), destroying margins, meaning you need to spend more time practicing item flipping than playing the game. Why wouldn't I play an mmo with a better economy if I wanted this gameplay loop?Really just complaining, but hoping that this could shed some light on issues that new players have with the game; and perhaps spur a change for offline players that doesn't try to recreate the sweaty online environment. Let it be clear as well that I'm entirely convinced that they boost streamer packs to entice consumers to pay for them themselves; and before you think this is conspiracy theory-esque, realize that it is literally the cheapest (ie, free) marketing you have for your game and your in game transactions.
To anyone who actually read this:
Thanks person, have a good day.mini seasons is a template, 2 stacked teams, 2 awful; teams and then the rest mid level....and no has a full 99 team yet

Oh, I’m aware of the bugs in MS. I mean the intent of the mode that gives repeatable rewards that can be sold and stuff. As for online, haven’t had too much egregious stuff yet, but my sample is still small.

The repeatable rewards are awful as well, play on HOF for a NLW prospect choice pack. None of the rewards given out in Mini Seasons will have meaningful impact on peoples line ups. All they do is give people a different mode to play, when they work. If they were giving out 99’s and 100 ballin’ bundles I could see how online only people would be upset, but the offline content this year has been nothing but a waste of time.

I have a feeling that many people expect to go 28-0 in the mini seasons based on their experience with conquest where most live series teams are not nearly as good.
Bugs, aside I think mini seasons is a great addition. It adds some things to offline that you did not really have before.
- A mode where you record counts.
- A mode where you can't just use the same starter and reliever every game.
- A mode where you will actually see your Home Uniforms.
- A mode where you can finally choose a stadium for home games.
- A mode where using your best team is smart
Sometimes I kind of feel sorry for those who see rewards as the only worthwhile reason for any mode to exist. To each their own though. However you want to play DD is up to you. But to this offline player mini seasons is a nice alternative to constantly grinding Conquest maps, one which gives the added benefits I mentioned above.
I'm all for it! (once the bugs are squashed)

A lot of players have never pulled Trout. I finally pulled him last year but it was 9 months in and he was worth 17K

I am not really complaining just pointing out that these rewards even when/if they bump them up will not have anywhere near the same impact on peoples teams as the online rewards will, which again is fine. I suspect if they do add higher rated rewards they will still be at least 2 overall levels below any of the program and online rewards. So again it’s not ever going to be comparable to “making world series on rookie difficulty”.
