Why are BR and events so hard this year?

Last year it seemed like you got a couple games that were fairly winnable before they fed you to the sweats. Hell this year a couple weeks ago it was like that, what happened?

i definitely agree with this, idk what happened but everyone is out to play this year

BR wasn't that tough for me personally. This event was rough though, much worse than the first 2 events even

I am willing to bet there is a lot less people playing this game than last year. So very few casuals. My first BR game of the year was against Moonshot Mafia so I just gave up on it after that game. 2nd game would have probably been against Weens.

Curious why you think this since there are Switch players too. You usually seem to be in the know so I'm just genuinely wondering if you're right.

I think it’s because a lot of people aren’t playing a ton of RS. They’re getting their teams right and paralleling guys, plus the BR program is almost over so there’s not much else to do.
I’d expect the sweats to thin a little when the new BR program drops.
