Having fun with it to, def issues (I still can't play my mini seasons championship), but the hitting feels pretty smooth imo.
For me hitting inside the zone is near perfect. Outside needs some work.

This sums it up. Gave up a VERY early HR to Olson earlier. Meanwhile, my Mullins hits 2 balls almost dead center of pci for routine fly balls. Won some games, lost some games but off for the night. Ball is a blur. Can't read any pitches.

Non PCI hits are pretty smooth this year, better than last year. The increase of warning track hits along with the increase of bloops and dribblers are a welcome surprise too. I’m in love with Timing too…make’s competing against zone players much much easier.

It happens in each of the games I mentioned.
Not really. Bad pitch recognition/discipline was punished in every game before 18. From there it went downhill.

Oh this didn't happen to me. But this is going to be a scenario for many people, because that's how this game plays. And only then is when people will start to acknowledge it, when they are on the receiving end of the nonsense.

This game IS fun if you go into the matchup knowing that anything can happen and your w/l record, era, and/or batting avg is just a number and doesn't mean anything outside in the real world.
Does it have flaws? Yes.
Is it perfect? No.
Can it ever be perfect? No. And I mean that because one person's 'Perfect' is different than another person's 'Perfect'.
If you have that mindset and just realize that's it's a video game and don't take it serious; you can have fun playing it.
And if you're not having fun playing it; then don't play it. And using 'it's the only baseball game out there' excuse is just that; an excuse.

I mean if you're gonna resort to the cliche "get good" line, pick someone you could beat. Like me. I'm awful. Last night I got one cheap single in a 3 inning game and then got thrown out because I still haven't figured out how to run the bases properly. You can tell me to get good.
If you were kidding, then kudos. I just don’t get the "ratio, touch grass, get good I can't think of my own jokes" lines that fill online forums and Twitter. If that's a flex then yeah I guess I was.

MVP Baseball 2005, which is now a 17 year old game, is still vastly better than any Show game, from a technical and design standpoint. It's really a shame there isn't any competition but we live in a monopolistic world now.
Even on its own right, the game is riddled with bugs, inconsistencies, technical issues and sub par gameplay.
