Events very competitive?

I agree. This might be the first event ever that I have had a below .500 record. Its a grind out here. I don't think I have faced someone that has swung at a ball in the dirt in like 10 games

Just got to 50 (50-18) and I generally win at a 65-70 percent clip in Events so this was similar. Won 11 straight towards the end with a few close games but generally people quit once you put up a few. Was fun and definitely looking forward to Moonshot!

I would be curious to see how many are playing online this year compared to last year. I ask this because I am not going against many players that are bad. I was new to the game last year and I did fairly well in events considering that I was a newbie. I feel like I have taken a step back honestly.

I think I am about 37-10, which is pretty comparable for where I usually am win percentage wise. AS with the contact swingers makes this one tough at times.

That’s how it’s always been for me every year. Sweatiest opponents are in Events. I don’t understand why but it’s been my experience. Bunt dancers, always leading off, bunts, bloop hits due to horrible PCI placement, fouling every single pitch off, holding R2. If it’s not HOF, I usually don’t touch them.

I will agree, HOF events are so much more enjoyable.

Has anyone else been running into every single events game being an absolute sweat? I've been a fringe world series player the last 4 years (I make world series but it's always a struggle), I still can crush BR to 6-9 wins consistently...but I'm winning only about half my events games. It seems every game is a sweat, even my wins are probably against mostly CS caliber players. I've never struggled so hard in the events.
Agreed. Every game is a bloodbath.

Very much a grind. I breezed through the first one, this second one it took me probably 45 games.

Yeah I had multiple 9 win runs in the first one and 1 in that weekend event before this one. Current event 35-36

Can confirm. Half my opponents are hitting around .450 it’s pretty crazy out there. After the first L I can win a few in the lower rank but that first game is always a really good player.
It makes sense tho. Event rewards are just better than RS rewards right now. Not each of them alone, but RS will get you a 60k card after a massive grind. Events so far have been worth far more, with less games required and extra pack juice. I prefer a 9 inning game but I’m struggling to see the point now that events are basically always running.

I think I finished the first event 15-0 (split between multiple runs though), and this one is don't think i ever won more than 4 in a row.
