Question for you @raesONE_PSN. Have you played any BR yet? I just started this event and I'm seeing these things an extreme amount worse than I was in BR. Like genuine night and day difference. I could be reading too much into it but seems like there may be some slider nonsense going on here
I have not yet truth be told, but I will soon.
Edit: it's not gonna change my perspective tho. The difference in sliders is usually in hitting outcome, timing windows, PCI placement forgivingness and that sort of stuff. The ability to foul off pitch after pitch after pitch and the forcing of perfectly executed pitches in the dirt into the bottom part of the strike zone is going to be in every game mode. I'm willing to bet the house in it. MLBTS 18 and also 20 had these issues, I played those games rigorously across all games modes. It was all the same there and it's gonna be all the same here.

Patience, kick back, crack a beer and let the cpu throw pitches, never swing at the first pitch especially on vet, RNG will not be in your favour.

You guys have to admit this game is playing like [censored] this year. Online is now completely unpleasant to play. I mean, it feels like SDS either straight up lied about stuff or just completely broke it. I was correct in my original assessment that when they said "Less foul balls" they meant 15 foul offs instead of 20. How guys are fouling off pitches that go completely out of the opposite batter's box is beyond me and annoying AF. They fixed R2 and now it's all people do every single game. It's like they made people extra toxic this year.
No different then any year at launch IMO.

Here’s why I think hitting is messed up. When I’m struggling, I strikeout alot. Not the case. Most of my outs are literally shallow flyballs to the OF. I mean, not even warning track stuff. OF doesn’t even move. And this is one good/good normal swings.
I’m getting another beer and heading to RTTS!!

I’m Mark DeRosa and welcome to the show…this is literally every year at launch you either fight through it or you go to RTTS and Franchise until they fix it.

If you’re doing franchise wait for Ridin Roster’s, either way, don’t give up on the game just yet, it’s usually unbalanced and a bit of a mess this early.

I’ll add this and then be done: the game play was everything I’d hope it would be and extremely fun on the first three days of early access. The first update on that Sunday messed up the game and it had been downhill (hitting wise) since.

It's not even close. The daily moment thread from last year will forever hold that crown. It was 4-5 comments or more a day from April until November

That was a good one. I feel like it only descended into madness once or twice during that whole run. Overall it was just kept to talking about the daily moment if I remember correctly

That was a very useful thread and a positive thread as well, where people were actually trying to help each other instead of trying to bash each other for whatever reason.

On another note, anyone active on Twitter? Both McGuigan (now goes by Goobs) and OhChev (Evan) came out today drawing similar conclusions to mine. McGuigan claimed he played all day on Legend in RS before voicing his frustration. That a large enough sample size for you @Bob_Loblaw1984 ?
I'm fairly confident the rest of the bunch will follow soon. It's hard to call something good when it isn't.

I don’t even know what they could do at this point to make it better. Remove Anchor, remove outer PCI, nerf Timing, revert PP to last year. These would be drastic changes but eventually either do something drastic or build a brand new hitting system. I’m seriously considering taking a break from DD and trying RTTS or some other offline mode for once. I don’t get excited to play RS anymore…I hover over the tab contemplating if I really want to put myself through the inevitable frustration.
Game feels like it was made for 12 year olds who can’t hit unless it’s handed to them.

Well said. All i'll add is by them removing all the content and packs from last year they killed off the market. Also they nerfed hitting; I mean how do you ruin offline gameplay too lol. It's disheartening to say the least. I came into this game with rose colored glasses, and all i expected was nothing more than what we had last year. I didn't think they could take a step backwards.

Don’t know much about them. Assuming they played online for more than a day, I would consider listening if it was put in front of my eyes. But I really don’t put much stock into reviews of a game that will be adjusted many times in the weeks and months ahead. There are only a few streamers I actually care to watch on occasion. Cbrev is good. Well, he’s about all I can actually enjoy because most of the ones I’ve been exposed to are childish and like to whine (think pitching rebel), as I think you’re describing the two above did. That’s not really much of a surprise.
Still haven’t read your review. Still think it may be 100% accurate. Still know the sample size gives it no value to me. Still think your ego is fragile enough to need validation from everyone (seems to transparently be the point of tagging me here). Still think your ego is inflated when you cite your “expertise” as a reason people should listen to you. And I think you’re an [censored] for telling anyone here to “shut their mouth.” Hell, I still think you create alternate accounts to defend yourself by attempting to gaslight me. But hey, we all have faults.

I'm glad you like it. I agree that the core structure is better than other sport franchises and always has been. But just because another product is inferior doesn't automatically makes this product good. It just says a lot about the other products.
