Can we leave personal lives out of this?, I don’t follow the personal lives of celebrities and athletes so maybe I am out of touch but IMO I don’t see why he shouldn’t be included. Again before people blow my sh*t up I don’t follow or care about his personal life.

I’d love to have him at 2B up with Michael Young up the middle early on. I miss hearing Elton John’s Bennie and the Jets at Cubs games. I do not miss his wife’s song.

I know rivalries get in the way but this Tommy Edman is almost a better version. And I freaking loved Zobrist in this game. It’s almost to bad how many 90 overall switch hitting guys they make that can play 7 positions. He used to be a unicorn now ever FS card is a prime Ben Zobrist.

Uh…he retired 2 years ago. The fastest turnaround has been 3-4 years. I’m not being personal. Why the hell would you just right away jump to such a conclusion.

Actually the fastest turnaround is now 1 year with granderson so that argument is no longer true

My bad, but most people say “too soon” or object because the player wasn’t a perfect human being. Year’s of playing The Show and missing out on players due to moral outrage lead me to that assumption.

I enjoyed Edmans PS card last year but he is no Prime Zobrist

Correct, one of the three attributes Ben Zobrist was superior in compared to Edman. Again, he also plays every position, has Diamond defence in all those positions, hits switch. Over the 14 attributes that matter in game they’re separated by about 50 total in game attributes. It’s about as comparable as cards multiple years apart can be, especially when one is a 94 and one is 90.
The RH power also has/had nearly zero effect on me with Edman or Zobrist. I always platoon someone like Cano at 2nd or Granderson in OF who have maxed out attributes vs RHP. If it’s a lefty pitching, the platoon comes in for the 9 innings and Edman or Zobrist are on their superior side to start and still have the RH hitting for any pitching changes later. It’s tough to deal with and about as strategic as this game allows you to be.

He means that Zobrist retired in 2020 and it take 3 or 4 years to get player rights back.
