Mini seasons suck

Mini Seasons is great, and I prefer it much more than playing scrub teams in Conquest. They just need to fix the technical issues people are experiencing with the mode.

5 Show packs
Mini seasons may take longer but the rewards are infinitely better as you get a minimal amount of stubs/xp for Conquest. Also, in order to get "twice as many packs" from the mystery map, you'd have to play it at least 10 times....which would probably take nearly as long as a mini-season anyway.

Actually no. Ive done 3 mini seasons since launch. ALL the rewards are repeatable until May 2nd...with the exception of the Mystery Reward.

Not to mention mini-seasons are fun where conquest is like playing RISK.

Agree - way more fun than Conquest and Cats/Whales “god squads” aren’t even that good. I just hate playing in the Cats home park with 450 to CF so just quit out of those games. And Rewards are WAY better than doing the Mystery map over and over again. Shouldn’t take more than 26 games to finish a season and the championship (20 wins in regular season should net you the #1 seed and then 6 wins for playoffs).
That gets you 2 prospect packs (worth around $12K stubs after tax when you sell the cards) then around $15K or so Stub Rewards and then like 20+ Show Packs and 2 Ballin. My main grind right now.

I think it is a neat idea, but it needs to have a cap on team OVR. We're only 9 days from early access and 5 days from regular release and I have 2 teams in my Mini Season that are absolutely loaded. Both teams' avg 96 OVR and their lowest rated cards are 92 Tatis and Kuechel. I'm guessing this will only get worse as more people get better cards, resulting in Mini Seasons turning into playing 7 "god squads" that are mostly made up of the same players. If I wanted to play "god squads", I'd play online. I'll finish out the current season to get what rewards I can and to grind some of the FoTF missions, but after that, I'm probably done with this mode.
My first time playing was over the weekend and the first team had a parallel V clemente how is that possible unless the person is literally just playing the game every day all day

Yeah, well the PXP grind you're running Gold players against Diamond squads, which Conquest doesn't have; makes sense.
Especially if you're playing on AS and up.

Yeah early on I was still used to being able to run over CPU teams no matter what so I used my “Programs” squad in an AllStar level game against what I would consider a mid-tier team in Mini Seasons, and I got beat 5-0. And the CPU was the home team so they put up that 5 in only 2 innings. Probably my worst loss against the CPU in years. Think I played that team on Rookie with my A Team after that just to make sure I didn’t get swept.

Took me 3 tries, but in the end I was able to overcome countless server issues/ freezes which only present themselves in the postseason and won. Not doing that again till the next set of rewards, but I did get tons of PXP and a LS Tatis out of the earned 15 pack, so yeah.
In my first play through 1/2 the teams (preorder release) seemed to have all collections done. My bad luck.
In the 2nd and 3rd the Whales were appropriately named and consistently had LS collections completed. Are others finding the Whales to be specifically coded to get a ringer squad?

I LOVE mini seasons. I've won 5 titles, working on my 6th. (and I'm an average player)
Just pulled Vlad Jr. from the packs I just got from my last championship.
It's easy and relaxing to parallel my lineup.
FYI you only need to win about 16-17 games in the regular season. I quit out of most of my road games.

I've done 2 mini seasons and hit a lot so not sure why that mode would cause different hitting results just because of the mode. Only thing I can say is that due to the teams being way better than the regular teams you'd face in conquest that might make a difference.

In mini seasons you get said rewards IF you win the championship and complete some specific challenges at the very end of playing 30 some odd games. With Mystery Map you get 5 packs every 3 games to add to your lineup and after 30 games you have 50 packs. I'm not saying that one is markedly better than the other because I did both. If your are going sheer packs per games played Mystery Map will earn you a higher ratio.
