Ok... we need to talk ab the sinkers..

Basically the strategy for the past 2 years is to spam inside high sinkers with a pitcher with outlier and sinkerballer. I'll just say it, the pitch needs a nerf. Sds needs to nerf the drop of the sinker as you move up in the zone. A sinker shouldn't sink if you throw it high. You have to get on top of the ball and down through it for the ball to sink irl. Every up and in sinker looks like a straight 4 seam high and drops down and in to a righty. The ball should only run if it's thrown high. Also, anytime the sinker is just barely inside you either rip it foul or it breaks your bat, the timing for a fair ball on the pitch is a very small window compared to any other pitch in the game. On the same note, the two seams need a buff. They have not ran nearly enough for years now and nobody throws them because they are a 4 seam that loses 5 mph usually. The sinkers run 10 times more that a 2 seamer for no reason. I'm willing to bet sds keeps track of pitches thrown online and I guarantee the 2 seam is almost dead last in all pitchers that have 2 fastballs and other pitches.

Not to mention out the hand it looks offspeed, yet in real life if looks like a fastball

This also ^^^ it comes onto you way faster than a 4 seam

Agreed that’s it’s awful and makes online much less enjoyable, but like you said it’s been this way for a few years now. They’re not going to change anything about it

Every bit of late life/hop that a 4S has up in the zone is missing on a sinker up in the zone IRL. They tried to fix it with making control worse but that wasn’t the correct approach IMO. They should have nerfed movement instead…AT LEAST the downward component if not the horizontal component also.
I’ve never seen sinkers drop like they do up in the zone like they do in the game. Holds true for splitters too.

I feel like anyone that's seen a sinker live understands this. Sinkers that miss high IRL don't fool anyone, they generally flatten out and get smashed. In this game, the bounce a sinker has high in the zone makes it look like a splitter. And splitters should never be up in the zone. So you literally have to be sitting on high and in sinker, which just sounds ridiculous
