CPU actually plays hard now!

Even though it has pissed me off a couple times, this a really good thing! CPU offense is actually good now. Just played back to back (lost the first on a 3 run walk off homer) stressful 3 inning games against the twins on veteran difficulty. Beware if you think you can sleep through those conquest games. It’s much more realistic now. They won’t just flail at the plate like previous years. Overall this is a good thing, just don’t freak out like did when they actually tried!

I noticed this as well. And, no complaints with the AI competition... I'm like, "oh...ok, you're being aggressive...game on".

I’ve noticed this too. At first I didn’t know if maybe it’s because it’s a new year and I’m not using all 99 OVR pitchers anymore, or maybe SDS just plugged some holes (last few years, the CPU would chase every heater up and in and flail at every slider 3 feet off the plate). But I think the CPU is just better. I also have noticed the CPU yanks their pitcher earlier rather than letting me score 6 runs in the first before giving him the hook. And I noticed a couple pinch runners in key situations. Let’s go, CPU! Get it, baby!

Is the pitcher still the hardest out against the CPU? They were always the hardest to K as they fouled off everything.

Yeah I 100% think that’s part of it. However, I remember mowing the CPU down early last year with 80-84 overall golds. So the CPU being much more realistic and the drop back to non-99 pitchers combine for that change. I like it! Keeps my mind at work even when I’m offline!

Yeah, I saw there’s extra rewards for playing mini seasons on Hall of Fame. Just edged out a 1-0 victory.

Yeah, I just lost back to back games to the white Sox on veteran. This is very very hard compared to past years.
