LS Collection

For the last three seasons I've collected the entire live series on the first day of release. There is no way to do this, other than to drop $1,500 on stubs, give or take. You get the benefit of playing with a stacked team against other rosters filled out with golds and a few diamonds. It's a lot of fun, but within roughly two to four weeks, the playing field will be leveled. And your advantage will go away, and you'll realize that you could have just waited to have the exact same team for significantly less, had you just waited a couple weeks.
This year, I'm opting out of the day one buy in. Although I said the same last year, I'm really going to try this time.
*Edit...I'm 41 years old, have been playing the show since it was on PS1. I've built a life where I could drop that money and not feel it. Please do not waste your money, or put yourself in debt to do this. It's NOT WORTH IT.

Yeah, no lecture involving money. We're all in charge of our own bank accounts.
Personally I think it's fun to collect over time and have to be creative with your roster building. This is my second year and I had no clue what I was doing last year so I'd be tempted to buy as much as I can early. But some of the fun for me is earning the stubs through flipping or playing.
I'm curious what your experience will be like of you stick to the buy and build over time.

I sadly spent quite a lot of money on 2K.
But I feel absolutely no need to with The Show.
Last year I didn't even get the game until July, spent 0 dollars, and had every single card by January (besides Robby Alomar).
Full disclosure - I play a lot and flip a bit though. With 2K that hardly matters. Grinding only gets you so far.
This is why (unless they change their business practices) I'm loyal to SDS.

However, I have spent $200-$350 each year since 2017 and I feel that is adequate to build a solid DD team. My problem is that my reaction time is getting worse each year as I age. I have a nice monitor set up & a PS5, it does not matter. Father time is undefeated.

I am fighting the reality of life. I was a consistent WS player 18-20...got to DS in 21. I am assuming with this downward trajectory that I may not reach WC this year without some luck.
My monitor is beautiful & well rated. It is 100% me.

Ok most of the people that do the grind for the collections mainly are streamers that have the extra money from the views they get. So in other words its extra cash for them. Also they start loading videos and keep getting more and more cash flow and what happens they get everything
Me i get the $100 dollar version maybe buy a $100 with of stubs and start flipping a little bit and the wait for the official release of the game where u will make more and more stubs.
Last year i pulled 2 Juan Sotos kept one and with the other i almost bought all the golds

It's another Joshjays reference. Apparently us that enjoy DD just sit around eatting hot pockets because franchise mode is so superior and were just here to be mocked. At least thats how i understand it lol. Don't even try to make sense of it.
