Lag or RNG?

You know when you really rip into a ball and your batter seems to go into their no doubt animation and then it turns into a random fly out? Only happens online, so I always assumed it was lag. But does lag show up on replay?
I watched mine in replay to see exactly where the ball came off the bat and it looked like solid contact and noticed in super slow mo, there is this moment where the ball comes off the bat where the ball freezes and the batter continues their swing animation. Is that really lag or is that RNG? If neither, what the heck is it?

There’s a visual desynch on replays. What the means exactly, idk or care. But it’s 2022 for crying out loud… it looks tacky as hell and makes it hard for people to take the competitiveness seriously. ie. Your questioning of it
