I have the same monitor as Raes. I hooked up some speakers to it and between the sound and screen it’s great

So I’ve been using an Acer XFO Series monitor for the past few years and have enjoyed it. But at this point, I’m wondering if there are better options out there?
I feel like the response time is solid at 1ms, but I just feel like the graphics aren’t that great anymore.
Now that I have a PS5, I really want to get a monitor that will run well with it. What are some monitors that you guys have enjoyed using?
You should be looking for low input lag, which is different from response time. And don’t limit yourself only to monitors. Many televisions are just as good. For example, a Sony 800h has 10.2 ms input lag at 4k/60hz. A 55” is about $500.
I have a 900h, which has 6.7 ms input lag at 4k/120hz.
That’s interesting. I never really realized there was a difference. I’ve always been sort of out of my element in that aspect. I can play the game well enough, but when it comes down to those types of fine details, I am lost lol.

I run dual monitors on my desk. Samsung Odyssey G7 and Alienware 2720hf. I play this game on the Alienware. The Samsung has prettier graphics for games that benefit from that. As long as you get one with the recommended specs for this game, personally I think they’re all about the same. I’ve used BenQ and Asus for The Show in the past as well, can’t tell a huge difference between any of the monitors I’ve used.

LG C1 OLED. Or wait for the C2. Best gaming screen you can use. Just got my C1 finally after wanting one forever. Never have to worry about input lag again and it is the only panel with a true 1ms response time. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/motion/motion-blur-and-response-time https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag

I have the CX and have actually stopped using my monitor since I got it.

I run on this one the Samsung G7 Odessy:
The game looks great on this one can modify the screen response time. HDMi 2.1 capabilities as well.

I use the Gigabyte M32U for PS5. It has HDMI 2.1 so you can play 4K@120hz if the game supports it and the input lag is fantastic as well, which is important for games like MLBTS, FPS and fighting games.
mate thanks for this i've been wanting a fast monitor with 2.1 - how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

They are expensive. Got mine from Amazon and it was still high. Almost embarrassed to say how much I spent.

I believe it was 800. There's a 28" version available too which is slightly cheaper, but for 4K I feel 28" doesn't really do it justice.

thanks i appreciate the headsup - that is better than the 1400 Predator monitors i was looking at - hope you guys are well over there today

With them being so high in price, I think I’d rather consider the C1. Just a few hundred more for something I can use more often and with bigger screen. Hmmm decisions decisions…

True those screens are nice all around around. For gaming however, burn in is a signficant risk for those panels that I am not willing to take. I use one for watching TV though.

Isn't that the Acer screen? Those are quite good too, but rtings.com tested the Gigabyte monitor to be better all around and indeed cheaper.

Don't feel bad. I just dropped $800 on a couch from Bob's Furniture. I could've just got my Niece a PS5. Her birthday is 3/17! She's an Apex head, and loves gaming. Not sports yet although I would play softball, football, and roller skate with her. Go figure!

@raesONE_PSN and @TEXAS10PT_PSN did you guys game on a 27in or smaller monitor before getting the gig 32in? Just wondering because I wanna try a 32 out but don’t wanna spend too much on one if I end up not liking it.. I know 800 is a lot but I really have my eyes on some monitors dropping later this year. One for sure is the acer predator x32 fp (I’ve heard 1800 lol) but I wanna see a review first and again gotta try a 32 before I throw out that kind of money.

I played on a 27" Benq monitor for years before I switched to this 32". It is a significan increase if you sit behind a desk, but my desk is deep enough to not be overwhelmed by the size of the screen. I actually really really enjoy it, adds to my level of immersion.

Hmm, may have to pull the trigger and try it out! I’m using a BenQ 27in right now too and I’m tired of looking at it. Do you feel like you see the ball any better when hitting since it’s 4K and a bigger screen? Thanks man!
-
I played on a 27" BenQ as well close to 5 years. The difference for me is day and night at least for the clarity and sound. I really like the size of this new 32" and think any monitor bigger would be too much. I'm really enjoying this new Gigabyte monitor and not sorry that I got it.
I see the ball better because of the clarity but at my age it certainly doesn't increase my hand/eye coordination or reaction time I don't think LOL.
