It's like the state of the game is like when a ponzi scheme is on its last legs. They know it's only a matter of time before the jig is up. More and more eyes are opening to what I realized in '19.
Same game same players....3-5 new legends and some half baked ideas to get you in the door. Then they will string out the features over a span of 3-5 years.
Example:'21 new stadiums no night games
'22 now you can do night games
'23 now a dome option!!!
'24 now you can take an original mlb stadium and customize it. Want dinosaurs at dodger stadium??? You got it!!'25 now you can choose different uniforms in online rated
Nah. 3rd jersey option in DD for â25 then jersey patches for â26. Maybe different uniforms in online rated in â27.

its amazing to see how many people are ripping on the game - yet there is only like 2 or 3 guys who will blow anyone who also loves the game in this forum - like a small circle [censored] of fan boy gamers
-
ah yes those that dont agree are fan boys and yet those that hate it so much continue to purchase lmao

From your perspective the game is better man, I donât see as many problems in Online Rated as there are in DD.

Still not happy with what they did to online franchise/leagues and the lack of small features to online rated regular teams.

I wish outlier worked more like a âdial it upâ style quirk where you can use it to hit 102 when you need to, but it has stamina penalties.. So DeGrom could through 99-100 most of the time, but when he gets in trouble thatâs when outlier could be activated.

I like this idea, and to expand on this how bout making all the live perks activateable in certain situations as opposed to them being activated in the background. And once you activate a perk it has a cool down time until it can be activated again. Obviously the perks that encompass the whole game (aka daytime player, or road warrior) are automatic and function in the background.

Maybe outlier FB is its own pitch with big stamina drain plus a little control loss and not a quirk?

Making outlier variable like that would make hitting harder, not easier. How could you even time a fastball if you don't know if it's gonna be 98 or 102 any given time? I'd rather just have the one fastball speed and be able to adjust to it. You can't adjust to random (try hitting a knuckleballer in this game).

Youâre somewhat ignoring the entire idea behind it being that you donât always get to hit 102. Just a few times a game when you really needed it. So 55/60 FBs being 98 and the other 5 hitting 102 isnât going to mess up your rhythm like you are saying. Still seems pointless, outlier is fine itâs the amount of guys they decided should hit 102 all game every game with accuracy. And honestly the bigger issue is probably that a 99 mph fastball with outlier hits 102, but and a 95 mph sinker with outlier also hits 102, then a 97 mph cutter hits 102. They just gave everything the same speed which makes no sense. If anything it should just add +3 like it does to a FB, a 99mph sinker is more than enough.

I got a great idea ,why not produce a product that s what you advertise it to be. What an awesome concept that would be!!??!
-

I noticed in 19'. The money isnt in the cure...its in the treatment.
That's why you slowly make gameplay better. Fix one issue at a time every year.
If It doesnt make sense. Take a donut...one donut to last you all day. How would you eat it...that's what they are doing. They are running our of ideas to keep us engaged.
Oh and they will expand on parallel for the next 3-4 years....instead of...wait for it.. .
Improving gameplay
Call of duty does the same thing. Theyâll take away a desired feature, then reintroduce it a couple years later as a ânew and improvedâ update.
-
The money isn't in the cure, it's in the treatment. So true. Especially when treatments are scheduled on a yearly basis.

I know everyone gets excited about the new game year after year. I appreciate the developers focusing on new features and modes, but there HAS to be fixes to game play.
1.) Frozen and unresponsive fielders: On routine plays. First base throw urgency and the ability for a catcher to chase a player back to third on a run down instead on conceding that the runner will go back to third.
2.) Run down logic: Show me the entire base and stop acting like guys can stop and turn from running to third to running home as soon as you lift your throwing arm as a catcher. Also, please show the entire base path a better understanding of where the runner is on the base patch is more obvious.
3.) Pitcher motions and fielding: If a pitcher falls off the the left when he throws the ball do not have him instantly field everything to his right like he started down the middle or on that side. Also, if a pitcher fields as a 48 and my SS field as a 92+, I want to see more pitcher errors than star shortstop errors.
4.) Pitcher confidence impacting where the ball goes: I mean come on... add a hitter confidence too if you are going down that route. If I strike you out twice are you going to feel as confident in at bat #3? I think the confidence meter should be gone and the stamina meter should have more impact as to where the ball goes.
5.) PPP: I just hate it. Giving one input more accuracy than another is something I cannot get behind. Guys that go 110-12 want more control into going 122-0 like they are just losing too many games from the same thing that their opponents are dealing with while also dealing the with skill gap between them and advanced WS players.
I spend a lot of time on the game and likely not purchase the new game to spend more time with my family. With that said, I do not like pinpoint, perfect-perfect throws in the game being controlled by the opponent and such. I think the cards metrics should mean something and now they only tie to the size of the outer and inner PCI (if that). It is just too much work for me to play a baseball game now and that is a shame. Now, if SDS can institute a way for every card to be obtained without playing online I would be all about it even if I have to grind. But playing a hundreds of 3-9 inning games online at various difficulty levels while limiting the cards I can actually use is just not something I am interested in anymore.
What? ðĪŠ Your putting words together, but your not making any sense.
1)What?
2)see #1
3)pitchers errors? That's fun.
4) I mean c'mon, well, maybe you somehow have a point there
5) what's PPP? but I do want more control in going 122-0
And I think you mean "not" interested in anymore. -

-
Fielders urgency should maybe be tied to the reation attribute of the card. If not, all urgency should be tied to user input. Letng a guy score from third because your first baseman take 2-3 seconds to respond to a throw command is a bug.
-
Frozen fielders at the base. How can I complete a successful rundown when my fielder cannot run?
-
Going back to the base you came frome safely after going all in on a steal. This should almost never happen. In real baseball run downs there is always a middle man and someone behind them. You really never need to throw 90 feet to nab a guy except maybe the initial throw. And it would be helpful to see the entire baseline.
-
Frreez offs of any kind
-
Fix the stamina issue for Pin Point Pitching (PPP).
Gameplay Improvement Areas:
-
Fielding attributes verses actual errors. My pitcher is usually under a 60 fielder, but I very rarely see them make errors and have to watch diamond fielding position players cost me games defensively. Either have the stats mean something or take errors out of the game.
-
Pitchers confidence should not impact PCI size.
-
Allow us to save/edit event lineups for an entire event.
-
Reduce pitchers stamina more quickly based on how many pitches are thrown at max velocity.
There are many examples in the game were bugs and a lack of improvements can negatively impact gameplay. All these extra modes sell customers, but the gameplay changes keep customers. There needs to be a balance of the two.
