THey locked you to the later rounds no mater how well you did
(i.e. 27th round or later)
I tried a new player in 19 and I Came to the conclusion that the Highest you can get is 15th round first pick.I haven't gotten the show 20 yeah, but From what you're saying it sounds like it's done the same.

Every choice they make for this mode, is the wrong one. Not to be rude.. but the dude in charge of this mode needs canned. It's gotten worse every single year. It's normally the first thing I do when I install this game. I threw it on, got draft by the Tigers 4 out of the 5 times I played through it. Gave up and went back to March to Oct. Which is already getting boring and I bought the game yesterday. Waste of money.

RTTS needs to be updated. some of us enjoy the showcase to see where we can be drafted and playing RTTS. hope they really look into this soon. been a fan from day one and own every copy. this game can be the best ever if they tweak things that players are interested in and listen. when we did beta this year they should of had RTTS in there so we could see it before release.

I'd love to see a co op type thing. My buddy gets drafted by X team. I get drafted by a different team. When our teams play each other, we face off. How about adding a real story mode, let us hire an agent, sign deals, make social media actually have some value. Look at 2k NBA then look at this. Its laughable. Even QB1 on Madden has more features I think.

I think they've locked you into the later rounds since 18.
I remember playing 16 and got a 1st overall pick.A real story mode would indeed be really awesome. especially with our year to year saves.
Interaction with the media in post game interviews when your team wins a big game/series etc. or you passed a mile stone. would all be awesome.It would be cool to see other stuff in there too like you see on tv sometimes with the Crazy Bench clearing brawls with a bitter rivals after they've plunked you and your time for the Nth time this series.
Sure you'll be ejected and probably suspended if you were an instigator. but The immersion would be unparalleled.
The only issue I have with the 2K storymode is the progression is too Grindy in an effort to force you to by mtx. -

They could easily have you play 2-3 season and inject a story there. The minors are so [censored] boring. Have branching storyline that shape our path to the MLB. Then once in the MLB a simple system like NBA 2k is fine. Hire agents, get deals, earn stubbs. Have our contacts earn us stubbs.
I wouldn't even care if they do like NBA does and give us the option to pay real money to upgrade our guy faster. Anything to get this mode some new features.

Agreed. No point to the showcase when you always get drafted in round 15/16.

I agree with you all on these posts. for the players that like RTTS and play it are getting the raw deal here. a lot of players buy it for that. and it needs to be better updated. buying the game every year for 100 bucks you want the part you focus on to be good. I get other players play other parts. that is good also. but make the game well rounded for all types of players. I own every copy of the game from day one. really thinking next year I may pass on it. I will wait to see how it is playing before I buy it. I play other parts of the game but not as much as Franchise and RTTS. I hope it gets fixed.

I'm about to do what my cousin does. He buys the game every other year. And he buys it used, so SDS doesn't get his money. Plus it saves a little bit of cash.

Spitfirex007, I may start doing the same thing. if you wait until the end of spring training go to gamestop and get it used and its reduced price instead of paying over 100 every year. because they have so many ppl brought them back. I was ticked because Pete Alonzo should of been on the cover. he breaks the rookie homerun record and gets nothing. judge did it got covered. or Jacob wins back to back cy young and does not make cover. lol. disappointed this year played RTTS once.

This game was based off the RTTS mode it appealed to a lot of players,but as the yrs moved on and they made money off the cards it became just like madden with the MUT cards and NBA2K My Park it's geared to make money..I get the business side of it but if ur making money hand over fist why not take care of all aspects of the game and please all your consumers instead of just relying on the 1.Makes no sense to me but the truth is that there is no competition of other game makers with the same game to push these people to do better. Madden and NBA2K also.

I like what EA does. They change to art for the game. Would be cool to see more games do this. Yeah The Polar Bear or Degrom should have gotten it. But it's not something that bothers me. Sports games covers mean nothing these days. Most people download or create their own

And look how many people hate EA with a burning passion. They buy the games every year because they have to . Not because it's a solid game. Madden is a straight dumpster fire. I quit buying it new years ago. At least 2k does something new with their my player mode. They try to change it up. SDS is heading down the path of EA. Ignore everything and push DD like its the only mode in the game. Even their other single modes blend into it. It's pathetic. I use to love this company and their games. Anymore I absolutely can't stand them.
