Yeah I had a game where I think I had about 19 Ks through 8 innings but was down 1-0 on a 'lucky' swing on pitch down and away. I quit rather than give the other guy the satisfaction of a no-hitter. I know it is partly our fault for not being 'good' hitters. But I recall having several pitches he gave me center cut and with good timing all I got was weak flyouts. It seems like 'perfect' or bust way too often. And even then a lot of those 'perfect' hit balls go for singles or line drive outs. Hitting is this game is a disaster right now!

Players who quit are looser without respect for the game

Every inning he strikes out almost 3 times or twice and weak contact( given not seeing any lineouts on his end but I could be wrong )
For some reason in the 8th you issued your first walk of the game. He steals and game winning run is bunted in? Then returns to striking out?
Then 9th inning...back to striking our three times? Something about that 8th inning. Now if he hit a homerun or finally pulled some hits together I could give him the benefit of the doubt that he finally and i mean finally figured you out.
Well this will give the other guy confidence to never give up because you can strikeout 24 times and still win.....correction....you can strike out 24 times and not get a hit and still win...ahhhh....much better

Some people play loose, some play tight. We all handle pressure differently I guess.

Honestly all the examples here are legitimate, thats the game of baseball. I believe it was Rich Hill for the Dodgers had a perfect game but ended up losing it in the 10th on a walk off wall scraping HR. Clayton Kershaw should have a Perfect game not a No Hitter but Hanley Ramirez decided he wanted to botch a routine play and ruin that. There have been guys who have thrown no hitters and still lost it is the game of baseball stuff happens. I've had games where I've been no hit the entire time and then got a lucky brake or been no hitting someone and they get a lucky brake. That's why I hate guys that quit after being no hit for only 5 innings like you still have ABs to figure out my pitch sequence. I had 2 20 K games with rookie Valenzuela one of them only counted as 19 because the guy dash boarded on the last K it was a bounced pitch he swung and missed at. My point is stuff happens sometimes it doesn't go out way.
I'll give you an example I had IRL just recently. Hadn't played in about 8 months and went to a tournament first game I went 3-4 with 4 RBI's my best game my first 2 ABs I hit 2 HRs my next 9 ABs I couldn't but a hit didn't matter how hard I hit it the ball just found a glove or the fielder made a diving play on it. Baseball is a fickle mistress weather it be IRL or virtual this game is fairly realistic because not every perfect perfect is a hit or a HR. Just like some guys hit "Off PCI HRs" cry about it all you want but balls will find gloves even when perfect perfect. Trust me I've been playing baseball IRL since I was 4 I'm 30 now I've seen my fair share of unlucky outs
