Events issue, my game forfeited

I was playing an events game in the show 22 and went to switch from directional to zone hitting like I do on occasion if I'm struggling hitting the ball. I went into game settings tried to change it and BBBAAMMNN a pop up came up said game forfeited and immediately ended the game, other team won. What's up with that? The hundreds of times I've done it, it has done this to me once in the show 21.

It's possible you unlocked one of things we're supposed to find in a tech test!!!??
