Not seeing the opponent's PCI is how the game functioned for years, it was changed last year for whatever reason and now appears to be going back.

I've seen the batter stand on Home Plate twice and both times it was Babe Ruth. I PH and he was on the plate and immediately got HBP, it was weird

I don’t think you should be able to see the batters PCI. If you know a player has bad PCI placement in a certain zone you can spam pitches to that zone. I’d rather the pitcher have to pitch strategically without knowing the batters pci placement. Creates more randomness IMO
