First Impressions of the Tech Test

    Areas of improvement:

    1. Co-op doesn't work so far. There is a constant amount of players leaving, disconnecting, etc. once you find someone and make it to the last screen where you are supposed to set your lineup, no one can do anything. The game doesn't allow you to back out or anything either, just freezes. Doesn't seem to matter if it is on 2v2 or 3v3.

    2. Overall it seems that compared to MLBTS 21, the ball seems dead. Most games I have played where I hit a early side of good and good PCI doesn't seem to be a homerun or even a double as often. BUT late side of good does seem to not be penalized quite so harshly which is great. I did notice that this feeling was worse in the BR games I played and less noticeable in event games. I'm guessing that is because of the number of diamond players. I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but comparing to 21 this does feel like a change worth noting.

    3. The shadow for the ball when you hit over grass seems to have disappeared, I notice once it goes over the stands you can see it again.

    Things I liked:

    1. I absolutely love how many more throws have the change for a perfect throw and outfield fielding animations feel so much better. I have thrown more people out trying to stretch doubles today than during the entire game cycle last year. This was a huge W in my opinion.

    2. Really like the PAR change on high off-speed pitches and sinkers.

    3. Overall game feels smoother on ps5 than 21. Swings don't have weird random hitches, fielding feels smoother, my pinpoint has felt a little smoother as well. Game just feels smooth in almost all ways which I like. I also like the cosmetic change to pinpoint.

    4. I like all the presentation updates. The stat cast on replays is awesome, the name and icon looks good. The winning probability is a fun mechanic and you can also tell the crowd reacts more realistically to the game which is a fun change! I just hope win probability is just a fun mechanic, but not at all impacting on outcomes.

    For a game that is a tech test, I have to say I was having a ton of fun playing it and has made me very excited for the game to come out in two months! Thanks for opening this up to everyone!

    Alright some follow up thoughts:

    1. Perfect throws to bases from the outfield are allowed but not for cutoffs? that seems wrong given 21 had perfect throws to the cut off.

    2. There is a bug with pop ups to the catcher, the animation of the catcher actually making the play doesn't happen and it looks like it drops and then suddenly there is an out.

    3. in co-ops, the camera lags quite a bit when you are the fielder and it causes a lot of late jumps, this lag needs to be improved. Also pause timers are weird and often don't count down or act strange.

    4. just early on inside pitches still feels like it goes foul more than it should. I think its fine to happen every once and a while, but the fact it happens more than half the time seems wrong and just lets people spam inside pitches.

    5. I think the PAR penalty should only start when you above the middle of the zone for sinkers. Throwing a sinker at the belt doesn't really make sense to be penalized so much compared to a low pitch. High and in sinker/slider spam is what needs to be less accurate, not so much an inside sinker at the belt.

    6. There is a bug with the R2 overlay where when you have a pitch that was where the pitch repertoire was, the pitch location shows up over the text where I would think that should be flipped.
