MLB Lockout
-
So the MLBPA suppose to make their joke of a counter offer on Monday. Which means since the Dec 2 lockout each side would have made their first pitch at ending the gridlock. At this pace it seems this could go on for quite a while.
Anyone think the pace will pick up and get the season started on time? At first I did, but now I think we may be lucky if we get a May opening day.

I am always a pessimist when it comes to things like this
-
I am honestly convinced the two sides are so far apart that we will miss the season entirely and we will see a similar fallout to what the NHL saw. I have completely reversed my thought process on the issue.

This is exactly what i think will happen too, which sucks. A lot of fans (rightfully) walked away from having anything to with the NHL for awhile I really hope the same dosn't happen with the MLB.

Seems baseball would learn from its mistake in 94 and get something done soon.
-
Seems things went pretty well today and they are gonna talk again....... Tomorrow!!! Surprised me. Figured they were gonna shut it down and take another 2 week vacation.
-
You forgot the one where some owners openly stated being okay with missing games.
-
Tbh I'm not even invested in these talks, I'll feel something when they feel something, hard to care RN

Oh for sure. Missing games would be fine, I just want them to get something done without missing the season or us having to another stupid 2 month season like 2020.

While I'm pissed at the two sides, I love the labor talks. Ngl I'm heavily invested into them lol
