PS5 settings (can’t find original thread)

Hey all! I just lucked out and got a PS5 today. Something I definitely didn’t expect.
As everyone seems to realize upon first play, timing seems a bit off on the ps5.
What was the settings fix for this in the ps5 itself.

There's a setting for performance mode that puts framerate/response above visuals. Its somewhere in the settings menu but I can't remember where. Try a quick YT video and see if it helps.
Edit:
1 - Go to the PS5 Home Screen and select the Settings icon (a small cog) in the top right side.2 - In 'Settings', navigate to the 'Save Data and Game/App Settings' option.
3 - From here select 'Game Presets'
4 - Within 'Game Presets' you'll see all the various options, the second in the list is the ability to choose between 'Performance Mode', 'Resolution Mode' or 'Game Default'.

5 - Select 'Performance Mode' and you're good to go. Now wherever possible the PS5 will prioritise performance over image quality, meaning you can enjoy higher frame rates.

May I ask how you got one?
It's a travesty how it will soon be Feb 2022, and people cannot go into a store & buy one. So many of my PSN friends still have no PS5. The PS4 is still a great system, and I still play mine, but everyone should have a 5 by now. -

The PS4 is still a great system, and I still play mine, but everyone should have a 5 by now.My wife got mine during an online restock at GameStop. There are sites out there that will tell you when stores are doing PS5 restocks online. I know that in many cases you will have to buy a bundle. Mine came with an extra controller, two games that I never play, and a $50 GameStop gift card. I also hear some people have had luck signing up for restocks through Sony Direct I believe it’s called. I believe it’s like a lottery system that will notify you when you are chosen to buy a PS5 directly through Sony.

My son scored a PS5 for me this morning from Target. He follows some guy on Twitter who somehow knows when stores are restocking.

I got mine last January by following a PS5 update Twitter feed. Managed to get a disc version from directly from Sony. Payed retail and everything.

Nice. I got mine in July of 2021 by being a Powerup Rewards Premium member. They sent me a heads up e-mail. I had to get a bundle as well with the extra controller and $50 Gift card.
I still haven't played the 2 games I got, lol. -
Got mine through the PS Store last May. Some people on Twitter send alerts on who has them in stock. That's got I knew to sign on and try to get in the Queue.

I still haven't played the 2 games I got, lol.I got mine around then too so we probably got the same bundle with Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank. Both are still in the shrink wrap.

It’s a place that sells older games from Atari to PS5, old CD’s, vinyl, and so on.
The worst part of all of this is that I found they also sell baseball cards. Was thinking hard about buying Triple Threads, Bowman Draft, Gold Label, and Topps Chrome black last night.
Part of me wishes I hadn’t gone in since I now know where all my money is about to go lol.

Found mine at Costco.com back on releasee day, Nov 12 of 2020. However, it was a bundle that included an extra controller and Spiderman: Miles Morales game.

The PS4 is still a great system, and I still play mine, but everyone should have a 5 by now.The PS5 has been set to online only shopping by all the major retailers to prevent stock from being hoarded by unscrupulous predators who buy up all the stock and then price gouge. The only way to get the PS5 is to either pay outrageous prices or win a lottery of sorts to be able to get in a virtual line to purchase the device.

You just have to go on twitter and find the profiles that cover restocks. I got mine from gamestop the first restock after xmas
