A controversial statement...

I wish every online game played like the current event (Battle of the Stars part 2). I don't know what it is, but it just feels right to me. I don't get to play HOF in RS that often as my ranking fluctuates around the 600 level. Yes, I know the sliders are tweaked and it's not "real" HOF, but... I really like the way this event feels.

I think this new event plays gross. I'm tired of facing the exact same pitchers and hitters. Add in common lefties in January and it makes me sick to even talk about it.
Let every card be available in January guys. Kinda a no brainer.

I get it regarding the same lineups. My comment was more on "gameplay". I just like the way the event plays.
Oddly, I did play one guy who had nothing but commons on his team. I give him an "A" for effort. I was up 8-0 in the bottom of the first, hit a grounder to 2nd, and... Freeze. But, he disconnected after a minute or so. I like that guy.

It doesn't feel like previous HOF events IMO. I'm hitting too many dingers for it to be true HOF. I'm also giving up more runs too.

I hate this Event. The prior 2 HOF events played great imo as you had pitcher duel, low scoring affairs. This one is a joke as I’m either scoring 3-4 runs in an inning or giving up those blowup innings. No in between.

It’s because the pitching is toned down. You’re not seeing DeGrom and Ryan every game. Also with quick count people are not paying attention to their stamina because yes you personally only threw 5 pitches but the quick count put you at 13. If anything this event shows us just how OP pitching and stamina is this year. I agree I actually have enjoyed this game online possibly the first time all year playing this event.

I won a game last night in the event without getting a hit. Won 1-0 in extra innings. 2 sac flies and managed to not give up a run on 3 hits.

You did. I just have never seen so many blow up innings before. Either the other team or me, but seems like once a team gets even the slightest bit of momentum it inevitably follows with a HR and several runs. This is more offense than the Part 1 on AS and to me that just doesn’t make sense. Pitchers definitely worse but it’s not like Part 1 wasn’t the same Finest cards but now they just play worse.

"Blow up innings" is one way to put it. This thing is a home run fest that's just not fun. It's the insta home runs where I'm constantly asking myself "how did that go out." I know I didn't get good PCI placement. I just pressed the button and boom.

I would have considered that statement a conspiracy theory until this... from my game log, I was down 1-0 going into the top of the 3rd. Managed a pinch hit HR with Justice to jump ahead 2-1, then... well, read for yourself:

I got my 60 wins and bounced. Whatever they did to sliders for this event I hope they never do again. I’ve played every event for the last 2 years and this to me (Part 2 specifically) was the worst.
