Seems likely. But 4/11 would be about a week and a half earlier than last year so, maybe working their way back to a March drop in a couple years. Probably early release on 4/8. Kinda weird though because I dont believe the final RS ever has an end date.

Season 12 won’t be the last. They’ll continue to have seasons through all of 22, they’ll just be sparsely populated with no new rewards.

I wonder what happens if there’s a lockout? Are they allowed to even release the game during a lockout? What if the season doesnt start till mid may? Who knows..

Hopefully there's an agreement before a month from now when pitchers and catchers are supposed to report to Spring Training. That is when the chance for a late start greatly increases.

They can release the game if there is a lockout. Their deals with the MLBPA and MLB are separate. The problem is that they would probably have to use last years roster as so many guys are free agents who are not on any team. The only exceptions would be guys who have retired and left the MLBPA. It would be a mess for sure. I would imagine they would hold the game off at least for a little longer if the lockout extends into late spring or part of the regular season.
