LB (advance all)

So why does that button stick sometimes ? I let go plenty of time to not advance and the base runner icon is showing 2nd it’ll just make the round and truck it on to 3rd. (3rd to home).. and also what’s this 2nd base freeze stuff ?

It doesn't stick. It auto base runs to the next base if the outfielder throws a mistake or misses the cutoff man. There's no stopping it either. They literally have to round second before they let you have control, at least that's what it feels like for me. Just another improvement to be made in 22. The only resolution to this is to use the stick and buttons to advance.

I found that if you hold it past the point of halfway to the base it would register as going to the next one, and sometimes the base going to wouldnt change so youd think it was stopping when the game was next one too.
releasing the advance button about the halfway point greatly reduced the times this happened to me -
Lost me at LB… probably another Xbox big issue I’m guessing?

as a person that suffers from country internet, I am uniquely qualified to address this. The reason is cause of lag. The pro move is to individually control the separate runners by pressing the stick at them and selecting the button of the base you want them to run to. But sometimes, there is so much lag, that method doesn't work at all because it's too late by the time the game recognizes the input. In those scenarios, you have to use L1. If I have a runner on 2nd base and I get a single, I'll hold L1 to make sure that runner comes home, even knowing I'm getting thrown out with my batter at 2nd base. There's an art to baserunning in laggy conditions. But that's the issue (connection quality), and people that have good internet won't even know what you're talking about. I do though.

Thanks for all the replies ! I understand country internet for sure but I’m in Jax so it’s stupid fast but all makes sense.

What VK said. Even if you just start controlling your lead runner that way, you will eliminate SO many baserunning gaffes.
