Just strike out 2 in the 1st. Or hope you don't go to bat in the bottom half. That's the fix

I was running into the same issue. I was skipping to the last moment, so I tried completing the moments in order and coincidentally I didn’t have to bat when I did the final moment. I don’t know if doing the moments in order helped or if I was just lucky to not have to bat.

Yes there is a glitch if you are forced to bat between innings. Happened to me first time I played the moment. Second time I did not bat and was able to pitch the second inning.
