Disagree. I enjoy the puzzle aspect. The sim part is a bit tedious, but the actual puzzle is fun. It's my first season though so everything is still fun. Maybe in the next few years I'll be over it, but I like the concept, like playing Risk with a baseball team.
I do however wish they were more challenging.
I enjoy conquest. I like getting free packs. I like getting xp towards inning programs and it allows me to parallel players. I’ve enjoyed this mode since it’s been out in 16 I believe.

Do one of the previous versions of the game which had Conquest Extreme for the USA map. I think it was 18 that you needed to conquer the Marlins by the end of your second turn and conquer all strongholds by turn 12.
That was challenging. Beating the Yankees on legend? was a nice challenge for offline players.
If you did it at the beginning of the year, it was beating that high powered yankees team on legend with silvers and a few golds.

I'm not good at all, but it was fun (albeit stressful) finishing all of those challenges.

Once I figured them out I don’t mind them. I like the hidden rewards too. I don’t like to know what they are beforehand though. I am going to complete it anyway, so I will find out.

This is my first year and I couldn't agree more. It boggles my mind that the primary offline mode of DD has as much to do with a computer cycling through numbers as it does hitting or pitching. Give us 9 and/or 3 inning games in a season style format against other cpu controlled DD teams (like Extra Innings). When I get time to play...I want to play.

I prefer & enjoy doing Conquest maps so so so much much much more then doing Player Programs, Showdown, POTM & all the random moments. With Conquest I could use whatever players on my team that I chose. With all other modes I mentioned you are Locked into using 1 player or need to rely on the luck of a good draft. Either of those 2 things hinders you & IMO is NOT fun for me because I am forced to use players I never would want to use, but need to for the sake of that mode to earn its reward. Conquest is so much better in so many ways.

Squad Battles would be very nice addition in next year of The Show. It would be something else to grind for offline players

I agree I really enjoy being able to use MY team. I was exclusively an RTTS player until SDS completely ruined it this year (My opinion). This is the first year I have spent any time in DD. The only complaint I have about Conquest is the non-stronghold sim games are too tedious.

the turn counter is bottom right corner, each 'attack phase is start of a turn so by end of third attack take over the strong hold
typically I go towards their base turn one and get as many spots, then steal 3 fans, then towards base and steal 3 more fans, and third attack should be for the stronghohld steal -
