No matter where I look, on this forum or youtube or Operations sports, this game collectively has by far the most causal players ever!. On youtube the vast majority of content I see play on the slowest snail's pace pitch speeds, its incredible how terrible they are. Maybe its because they want to appeal to their fan base but its incredibly slow, its like the majority of players play in slow motion, I don't get it. I made a post on Operations Sports under the name Joshf142 and I got some constructive answers but still the majority of players are just terrible at this game. My theory is because most players have moved onto the online side and don't care about skill or practice and just succumb to these default pitch speed/default settings so they are basically accustomed to arcade settings so it generates casual players.

Josh you have been talking about "casual" players forever. Do you even understand what casual means? It just means not playing "sweaty", not trying hard to win every time you play. You telling me you are locked in playing sweaties against the CPU ALL the time? I seriously doubt it. You sir are a casual.

What Josh doesn't understand is that the game plays completely differently online, and that is because he is a casual noob. The timing windows alone would probably make his hot-pocket loving little brain explode.

I'd have to say Pocket City is still the most casual game out there.

Is this the perception you have for Franchise players?...no wonder you online casuals feel all mighty when you're playing and beating some snot nose kid half way across the country that probably doesn't know squat about baseball. I thought it was pretty obvious what kinda player I am...I am a Realistic Simulation player, like sickeningly tedious. Before I even start a Franchise, hours and hours are spent working on sliders to give realistic results..usually that's about 50 hours of testing before the Regular season starts. Pitch speeds are obviously maxed and on Legend because that's the most realistic reaction time to real life that this game offers...about .5 to .6 seconds. You online casual are stuck at default pitch speeds...I can never play at this speed cause its super slow, a fast ball would seem like a knuckleball to me online...I call online pitch speeds Grandma pitch speeds.

This is just an example of someone who's greatest accomplishment in life is playing "super realistic franchise baseball". Good for you dude, that's a cool way to play. No need to dump on others for choosing a different way to enjoy their gaming time.

Your playing on what hitting difficulty offline with sliders up full for pitch speeds ect?

I kinda agree with what your saying I gave up online in the 3rd or so inning because the freeze offs and general garbage connections to my opponents.

Offline sliders up is consistently more difficult than playing online opponents atleast below 1000 rating. That said offline is still boring af i have been playing franchise several if them its just dull.

I do wish though they'd do more with offline because playing DD is a drag too and has me not wanting to play it anytime soon like years from now.

I can see why a lot of people can say Franchise could be boring..its a total grind but I love it!!. I play every single pitch and its always thought out, how to work hitters and trying to pick up on the subtly of the AI pitching cause there is a sense of intelligence when you play on Legend with a proper matured Slider set, they will paint and paint until you take a few pitches then they will consider working the strike zone and you gatta capitalize on their mistakes...soooo good!!!. I play with Broadcast so on average a game lasts for about 2 hours, so that's like about 30 games in Spring Training and 162 games in the regular season so that's roughly 385 hours of playtime every year for me. Its not everyone's cup of tea but it is mine 🙂

Don't be ridiculous, my greatest accomplishment in life was finishing Super Contra without dying once.
