Now that we’re here with really only waiting on Pujols, Trout and maybe Puckett (I bet Pujols or Trout and Puckett are 2 of the 10th inning bosses), what’s your best lineup? I think I’m going to roll with this for a while:
C- Foxx
1B- Gehrig
2B- Betts
3B- Arenado
SS- Lindor
LF- Aaron
CF- Mantle
RF- RuthBench- Posey, Honus, Mays, Vlad Sr. and one guy I haven’t decided on, best LH pinch hitter. (No, I haven’t dived into the Finest cards yet. Going to do a slow grind to unlock them all).
SP- Ray, DeGrom, Nolan, Maddux, Verlander (undecided here right now).
RP- Mo, Wagner, Jansen, Miller, Hoffman, Chapman, Gossage, Matzek
I may be wrong, but I'm thinking that this next inning (10th) will be the last inning. And because they said there will be no more Live streams; I'm hoping it's a refresh of the previous inning's bosses.
But when they did that last year; did they also have three new bosses besides all the previous ones?

I'm having a hard time deciding on OF and 1B. Between Griffey, Aaron, Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig, Ortiz, Soto it's tough to know who to sit. Currently have Ruth at 1B, Aaron LF, Griffey CF, Mantle RF but it sucks leaving Gehrig on the bench.

I honestly can’t remember. I thought they had new bosses and the the rewind packs later in the program. What day you @SaveFarris_PSN

I know. It’s tough. Give one, maybe your favorite, a little bit of a run and then change if you need.
I don’t love the choices at SS, actually. And I think 2B would be tough without Betts.

Jackie is my best hitter after Aaron. I've got Betts on the bench.

My team right now:
C - Jimmie/Perez - I still can't decide if I really want to completely sacrifice defense but I am absolutely killing it with Jimmie
1B - Lou soon to be Babe, I just found out that he is only going for around 350k so I might buy him today
2B - Mookie
3B - Freddie - I did not know that he has such an amazing defense and 3B secondary, he is great for me so far.I guess his quirks really help. Before Freddie I used Arenado
SS - Tatis
LF - Griffey
CF - Mantle
RF - MaysHonestly I don't see anyone else cracking my lineup. Maybe Trout instead of Mantle? Mays? I don't know. So many great options to use but those are my favourites right now

You guys have Griffey Jr 99 already?

Last year for the 10th, Griffey was the solo boss. 11th was all rewind.
Speculation is that 10th will be the all-rewind this year because of the late start, but they only people who know anything for sure aren’t talking.

I would agree 10th is last because description on calendar says The Show goes on….

He was easy to get for those who have been keeping up with cards as they were released. I was able to get him immediately since I didn't need the Finest voucher right away.

Same. I collected what I had of Finest which was everything minus the 30 but I had every other collection and was able to get Griffey and Foxx immediately.
Now I'm 13 cards away (not counting the 30 TA Finest) but I will end up 1 shy. Alas, I started in the second inning/month and can not collect Alomar. I've doubled up on therapy and am reading a compulsive completionist 12 step program......it's no big deal.....no big deal.

Man, coming up with a best of the best lineup is incredibly hard because I've been switching my lineups up all year. So here is my old school, 70s or before lineup.
- Joe Morgan/Jackie Robinson (platoon)2B
- Mickey Mantle CF
- Lou Gehrig 1B
- Willie Mays CF
- Babe Ruth/Hank Aaron (platoon) RF
- Ernie Banks SS
- Eddie Matthews 3B
- Johnny Bench C

Pujols and Trout were 10th inning bosses in 19 (along with Mike Schmidt?) iirc. Getting both of them as 10th inning bosses again seems unlikely.
I think Pujols will be a player program, since it's going to be his last year in the game for awhile and it gives almost everyone a chance to use him before we lose him.
As far as Trout, where do we honestly put him at this point? Most of use used his LS for a good chunk of the year, and now with legitimate end game outfielders like Mantle, Griffey, Mays, Babe, etc. I think his usability has basically passed. Sure, he'd still be a great option, but I'm not fussed about missing him from my lineup.
-
- Tatis SS
- Griffey LF
- Mays CF
- Ruth 1b
- Chipper 3b
- Mantle RF
- Betts 2b
- Perez/ Foxx C
Not sure I love the order but the first 4 guys I'm working on getting paralleled. I guess when Trout comes out maybe Mantle goes to the bench? Having a fast switch hitter on the bench would be valuable. Mays has the best defense so I can't take him out of CF even if his batting stance sucks. I'm also trying Freeman and Muncy at 3b just to get them in the lineup and parallel them. One will stick as a left handed bench bat. Picked up Joe Morgan last night might give him a try at 2b. Mookie has just become too good for me though. It's hard to sit either Foxx or Perez. Foxx has the better bat, but Perez has the better defense. I still think JT is the best overall catcher with solid hitting, speed and defense. Adley and Schwarber are still solid also.
Who to have on the bench becomes tricky.Bench: Perez or Foxx (whichever does not start) Honus, Acuna, Ortiz, Kike (this guy is underrated for a bench guy, he gets punch hitter quirk, has power against righties and lefties and can play almost every position) Soto could easily make the bench, Muncy and Freeman need a spot too. Hank was great for a long time for me. Jackie has the same versatility as Honus.
