You mean the same Charles Johnson who has more career strikeouts than hits?
I can get on board with Roy C. Although his career was cut short due to that accident he was on a pretty decent trajectory for a catcher.

I’m on board with the aforementioned Campanella and Johnson. Btw, Johnson was one of the best catchers of his era not named Pudge or Piazza.
But what I’d really like to see is Josh Gibson. This would have been a perfect year for it with the Jackie cover and Negro League stats being considered MLB stats.

The issue itself is that baseball has been losing the interest of black youths for years with the old school BS of if you celebrate in any way you're an a hole and other stupid [censored] like the Yankees archaic no facial hair/tattoos and other stuff rules. The MLB itself needs to try harder to bring more black players into the league.

The person who is the OP should not be berated for making this request. The is NO wrong with anyone taking pride within their own race & heritage and seeing it represented within this game, especially within the position they are least seen in. The OP is a buying customer to this game just lime all of you are & he has the right to make this request.
Now this is my official reply to the OP. Reason why there are not currently more catchers of the nationality you mentioned is because either #1) SDS has not made personal agreement with those players or their next of kin for SDS being able to use their name & likeness. #2) SDS has not even considered those players to be of those to seek out rights to.

Definitely a risky thread here. Look dude—I've been googling and haven't found many black catchers out there, outside of the main major leagues. If you want more black catchers, you'll need to wait until such a catcher makes the big leagues and becomes an everyday player.
Do I have a problem with black catchers or black players in general? Absolutely not. It's unfortunate that they're aren't that many at present. I'm just concerned that this post could start an unpleasant or toxic discussion.
Tip: If you have feedback, you can submit to SDS directly. Why post on the forums when the option for submitting feedback is there?
Until then, quit trying to incite something.

It's not like he said they need to add a ridiculous amount of random crappy players. If you think anytime someone mentions a person of color it's a race bait thing you should reconsider who the snowflake is

So can you tell me how many black catchers that have actually played that position? I can count on one hand. I might be wrong but there are not very many to pick from and if they don’t have the rights to them than it’s a moot point. This sounds more like a post that’s looking to start some woke debate.
