I'd sell and buy him back in a week or 2. I'll have him to the weekend and I'm hoping he'll still be going for close to 1,000,000

If you're going to be playing for awhile I think selling and buying back later (or using those stubs for cards you want more) is the obvious move.
If you're nearing the end of the road for this game I'd keep him and use him as much as possible until you call it quits.

I didn't realize there was a new showdown at first, so I wasted some time playing the new event. Then I blew my first attempt at the showdown which slowed me down a bit. Just sold Babe for about 780K, which is 700K after taxes. I'm going to try to wait until he hits 500K to pick him back up.

Pulled the old "quick sell" while he was still at $1m. Got lucky. I think it's the first card I've ever sold for $1m.

Did you do the catfish program and showdown to get there? Or jump on the fire sale of and lock in the 3 bosses from last inning?

If you need stubs, sell. He is already maxed out for hitting, P5 for him is more of a flex accomplishment. ( although the defensive reaction boost will be nice)

Based on using him in showdown, he seems like he’s no better than a dozen other options at first. Probably worth it to sell and get the stubs and buy him down the road when he drops to 300

Did you do the catfish program and showdown to get there? Or jump on the fire sale of and lock in the 3 bosses from last inning?
Yes on Catfish and Bosses, no on showdown. Oddly enough, I had 4 RTTS archetypes at 95 points each, and converted them for 44,000 points. I plan ahead.
And... Bonus... On the Catfish program, I entered an RS game attempting to get a win with an A's pitcher for my last 10 points. Entered the game and he just quit. Assuming he was tanking his rating. It's all coming up arvcpa today.

I had the same thing happen in the event. Started Lefty Grove and my opponent quit halfway through the first.
