Most definitely Kluber. The only pitchers left besides Kluber that would be guaranteed a 99 is Spahn, which people would riot if it was him, and a guy like cole who likely gets a finest card.
Guidry and Marichal are the only other starters I could think of that might be up there. I had forgotten about Spahn though.

That 18k game from Kluber was even more impressive than you think. No walks, 1 hit, and he struck out those 18 in only 8IP (he got pulled for the 9th).

Rookie question: why would everybody be upset if it were Warren Spahn? I admit I still look at their IRL achievements and prefer Hall of Famers to great but not legendary players like Kluber. Is Spahn's windup a nightmare?

So, Spahn = community riot?
I ask again....why? Do people just typically not like older pitchers? I get that in the game some of the best pitchers aren't necessarily the best IRL but they have the right pitch selection, outlier, a weird lefty delivery, high H/9 etc.
So my question is, is Spahn devoid of all that? He's a 363 game winner, lefty, Cy younger who fought Nazis and played in 14 All Star games. I wouldn't mind a 99 of him.

Haha. Appreciate the answer. I get it, I love guys like Walter Johnson, Bob Feller and Lefty Grove from the stretch but the windup can be a bit tedious.

Yea its nothing personal against Warren, just, I want to see my kids grow up and by the time he delivers the ball to the plate they’ll be off to college.
