Sorry, but the real money in sports is in ultimate team mode. There is a reason every single sports franchise spends most of it's time on it.
Yes franchise players and such pay money to buy the game, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to microtransactions. They will never put equal amounts of effort in any of the other modes, and that is just the unfortunate truth.
If this game makes that much money for SDS. then they can keep on using the same crew to work on Diamond Dynasty & hire a crew just to work on Franchise & an other crew just to work on RTTS & as well same with MTO. This is "HOW" every mode can get equal effort & time put into development. How can they expect for the other modes to increase in others playing it if they do NOT improve/revert those modes to earn back those who have abandoned them & also getting new players to try it out & enjoy it. NOT everyone can play or wants to play On-Line. I myself enjoy both worlds. On-Line play & Off-Line play. However the other modes have gotten so bad year after year that it has me playing Off-Line so much more less. That is disappointing to me me because I honestly used to LOVE Franchise & RTTS Modes more then DD years ago. But as each year passed, those modes have been changed for the worse.

Now why would they do that. They're going to maximize their profits, and that ain't going to do it.

I don't think you are quite getting my point, companies base resources on monetary return, and the money that ultimate team modes make is way bigger then just game sales. Just look at a company like EA, you can see in their earnings report that microtransaction revenue far outpaces game sales.
SDS is not going to devote the same amount of money to franchise or RTTS by hiring more crews because it does not make since business wise, you devote the most resources to the part that is making you the most money.
Yes, franchise and RTTS players spend money to buy the game, but that's not where any sports title makes the most money, so no business will ever devote equal amounts of resource to them.

Take a look at OOTP exclusively only for PC. They have a very loyal returning fan base year after year & as well earing & gaining many new players to their game. It offers a unique way of play. That is a market that MLBTS is losing. THE SMART BUSINESS SENSE is to improve the other modes or make them back to what let everyone fall in love with them from the very start. To gain & win over those players of OOTP which in turn will bring in more revenue & equals more profit. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

OOTP is entirely different and offers an in-depth experience that this game will never match. I really enjoy playing OOTP.
Also OOTP has actually been taking a step back recently because they have been so focused on their card mode which is basically an ultimate team mode type thing.
The thing is, something a business would have to ask itself is, is it worth investing that much resources into overhauling franchise that much? Or would devoting those same resources into DD to improve gameplay or create new modes within it etc turn more of a profit? The answer that makes the most sense is DD, since people who exclusively play franchise have no need for buying stubs or cards so there isn't a recurring source of money until the next game comes out.

Franchise & OOTP is not that much different if someone just Sims out the games rather then play them. OOTP is just more in depth with the GM & managing aspect which MLBTS Franchise does now provide. However MLBTS Franchise allows you play out the game physically with the entire team or even on player lock. This is why I prefer & enjoy the MLBTS Franchise mode more over OOTP. However Franchise has Not really changed at all in dynamics. They only gave it a fresh menu look with more data & info which is GREAT, but is just NOT enough.
In regards to OOTP doing the card collection as well for 1 to have an Ultimate team. That there proves my point with how they themselves are trying to adapt & change in attempt to steal away MLBTS players. As of right now MLBTS is not available for PC. But who knows if OOTP changes it's game even more & makes it so you can physically play games out & NOT only Sim games or call manage them. That is something I am really hoping for.

I agree that the changes in Franchise are not enough to really be called improvements. That was never my point, I'd love for franchise players to get some love. I'm merely explaining the business reasons why they don't get equal resources as DD

SDS needs to listen to approximately 0% of the community. They listened one time and we got the game that dropped between 17 and 19. Such a bad game I don't even utter its name.

Ah yes, the greatest example to the "Only the truly greatest players in the game deserve 99's" on why that logic doesn't work

So is this a pitching game because when I get a perfect hit it Flys out, lines out over 50% of the time should I just give up and this is offline and online. Especially in moments. Is this bs

SDS should just release two games.....one for the casual players, an online dumb down version with all the online fluff modes. And then release an offline simulation/Franchise game and release it for PC so it can be modded to be even more realistic and fined tuned for simulation play. I say offline because online casuals will find a way to complain that PC guys are using cheats to win games when in fact they are playing at a leveled gameplay but online casuals have to justify losing games.
