It will be different.
It will be for us trying to figure out who is going to be President of the Mets, and why no one wants the job 🤪
No one wants the GM job either, because Steve Cohen is addicted to Twitter and never shuts up.
No one wants to be Manager either, it seems, so we'll narrow it down to a select few, maybe Griffey Jr., or bring Ozzie Guillen back, or how do we lure Keith Hernandez out of the cushy broadcast booth and back into uniform. Or maybe get Mike Piazza to be manager or maybe Dero from this game and MLB Network.
It's pure chaos trying to fill these spots!

In fact, it's comical how long these are taking. -

In fact, it's comical how long these are taking. The organization is a cancer. Their farm system is non-existent because previous iterations have ravaged it (for people like Robinson Cano) to the point that it’s producing subpar replacement level players. Their pitching philosophy is obviously not working. They can’t keep their staffs healthy (even Degrom can be lumped in with this). Instead of just taking it on the chin and have a fire sale and off load all their talent in return for elite prospects they continue to try to fill needs by signing exorbitantly expensive free agents like Lindor who then turn around don’t perform or try a reclamation project like trading for Baez who strikes out like 60 percent of the time. It’s no wonder why that organization is in such shambles. All the money in the world can’t fix bad judgment. But I guess that’s what you get when you hire an agent to be your GM. How’s that Kelenic trade looking now? That dude would be producing for the Mets right now but instead Brody traded him for an unreliable reliever and serial cheater who is washed up and hasn’t played at an all star level in nearly a decade. That’s why the Mets are a perineal mediocre sub .500ish ball club.

Oh and the one guy who that was actually a good choice by the previous administration, Luis Rojas, was fired at the end of the season. He was a good manager and a good presence in the clubhouse and of course he gets the heave ho. I would love to see him go to another organization and flourish just to shove it in Steve Cohen’s smug mug!!!

There should be a cage match between the Mets and Padres to determine who is the worst most cancer riddled organization in baseball. Who takes their top prospects and either trades them away, or destroys their bodies. Which organization has an assembly line of hurt pitchers. Who hires their friends with no managerial experience and takes a team teeming with talent directly to the middle of the division.
It would be a good match.

The Kelenic thing is just maddening.
I think Rojas will be a good manager one day, but he's not for NYC. He had a weekly spot with Carton & Roberts on WFAN, and always seemed uncomfortable. He has the personality of a cabbage. He had no idea what the thumbs down thing was. He interviewed for the Padres spot this week. I wish him well. He had a short leash anyway.
I'm old enough to have lived 1986, so I can say I saw the glory years where we ran NY!
2015 had that shocking 2nd half hero run that fell short. 2016 was a 1 game playoff ouster.
I try not to get too high or low so I'm not let down. All I can say is sometimes in sports, things turn quickly. If not, I still love the sport enough to enjoy it. Wouldn't mind seeing the Braves win it all, believe it or not! -

What about the Pirates? That Archer trade might be one of, if not the worst trade ever! Archer for Meadows, Glasnow, and Baz.. I understand though when it comes to prospects, you don’t know who’s gonna pan out or not.. but [censored], what a hit for the Rays. Oh and Archer is back with the Rays lol
