Hitting this year is a dumpster fire

You can beat a very good player on hof playing ok yet lose to an average player at almost your best and still lose while they get over half they’re hits on trash pci placement and hit early bad pci tanks after tons of bloop hits. Then if you still come roaring back hitting the tar out of the ball they walk you off with a few more bloopers and Constant successfull bunt cheese garbage.

It feels like the bloop hits and early tanks with bad pci placement hat gotten worse into the games life cycle

This is my first year, so I am just going by this year....but it seems that as the attributes have gotten higher, the bloops, off PCI homers, seeing eye singles have gotten more rampant. Kind of feels like during the first month people were like "Trout (or Chipper) is amazing....the PCI was barely touching the ball and it went out." But now every card has similar or better attributes and we all are saying "this game is full of bloops and off PCI hits". I am completely talking about something I don't know here, but I wonder if the PCI represented in feedback is just the base PCI and does not factor in things like clutch, quirks, etc. But to your point...I definitely feel like it has gotten worse as the year has went along... much worse.

So this year the complaint is hitting, last few years the complaint was pitching. Once again proving that you can’t please everybody. Funny thing is I hit just fine and this year I can’t be touched pitching. But last year when all the elite players had team ERA’s north of 5 I still had a team ERA under 4. That just tells me that these complainers maybe need to focus on their weakness’s and less on SDS accommodating their request to patch everything. Truthfully the worst thing about this year has been the server problem and freeze offs. Everything else seems to be pretty smooth. Obviously I still get the occasional “rng” result, but the difference is I don’t lose my mind and run to the forums to complain so that others who spend their time complaining on the these same forums can coddle my ego and enable my disdain for the situation. Suck it up and get better.

It’s probably not the game itself that is the problem it’s the garbage servers. You can have one game with a decent connection and pitch speeds, timing windows, etc make sense. Then the next game you get a garbage connection and everything is a mess. Pitch to pitch everything is different. They could probably re release the exact same game next year but with dedicated servers and it would be the game of the century.

Hitting was good at launch. Why tweak it is beyond me. It's just not very good. Pitching is way too dominant.

Pitching was a complaint because it was random. Pinpoint fixed that. Hitting is now an issue because it’s random. All we want is to be rewarded for user input nothing else.

I didn’t make a post, but since you did ill share.
Last game I played against a terrible player. Couldn’t hit at all. I was lining/grounding out all game. His only run came on a single that Vlad OLEd and it went all the way to the wall putting his runner on third. Next batter he swings at two dirt balls…then I throw a slider five feet outside and of course he puts it in play and scores the run.
Goes to extra innings and he walks it off on a passed ball. I don’t remember what I did on offense in extras but I know for sure I hit a missle to third with good timing with Mookie.
The entire game was comical and exactly what you are describing.

Not sure if it works to post game links, but the dude struck out 15 times to my 8….pretty sure most if not all of my Ks we’re getting rung up on BS PPP corner pitches. The dude was flailing all game. I don’t know how many Ks he was bailed out on by BS foul balls and still ends up with 15 Ks.
I think Ks are a good indicator of if you played better than your opponent.
I don’t mind losing at all, but sometimes it makes you wonder why you even bother playing the game.

This game will never get Dedicated Servers, it’s not financially feasible for them to do that. Sorry to ruin your hopes but it’s just not gonna happen. Sports games don’t draw enough interest or provide enough players at one time to make them worth the cost to maintain them. If this was Warzone or some other massive multiplayer game that is a different story as their are hundreds of gamers connected at once. In a game like this there are two players connected at the same time. Those servers cost thousands of dollars per hour to run.
