Leagues is a small scale version of what you have asked for. Have you checked it out? Can play non-DD.

True online franchise was removed several years ago. I'd be surprised if it ever comes back.

No I didn’t know they had a small version. I wish we had a bigger scale

Wish they would! I bet people would love to have that choice again. Just like in the old 360 mlb 2k games
