Are people still enjoying the game ?

If they don’t hire someone who is knowledgeable about net code and what it takes to fix this game I will be done. Had an events game today where two hits would have never happened if they didn’t mess with the PCI range.
On top of that the laggy online play, server outages and “challenge failed” messages in a game where timing is everything is maddening. They better get their sh*t together between now and April because I think a lot of faithful players are losing hope. Pretty cards are not enough to keep me around anymore.

I still enjoy it but I have def found myself playing less and less the past few weeks.
Same, I didn't even finish the 7th inning. Just boring at this point

Game sucks. Just buying time for Battlefield. EA PGA Tour is coming Spring 22. Might buy that instead of MLB 22.
22 will be the last one I purchase if they do another lazy port for my PS5. Not only can they NOT get HOF players like Pujols 2nd half card right, I cant even upload my own music to the game. 21 has just been a lazy game. I find myself still playing Borderlands 2 and 3 from time to time, games have crazy replay value. Much more entertaining than this slop from these lazy devs and mods

Just lost an 800 game because Mantle wouldn't lock on to a routine fly ball. That triple was followed by a bloop hit. Betts wouldn't lock onto 2 during the events. I mean seriously, this is the worst online baseball game I have ever played. No wonder Movie Gaming doesn't stream anymore. This game plays so bad it is almost comedic. Don't get me started on the warping pitches that you have zero reaction time for.
SDS - You want to know why people are not playing your game? Well, it plays like absolute dog [censored] if you aren't by one of your garbage servers.

I'm probably done for the year, its just not keeping my attention anymore. Been playing Dark Souls 3 lately, anticipating the 2042 release.
I just preordered it myself. I bought Back 4 Blood and it’s fun

I’m enjoying it so far. Environments look amazing and the load out customization is pretty cool. I traded in my PS4 and had money to spend. Also preordered Horizon but that’s next year

IMO what killed the interest in this game was giving out too many OP cards too early. Previous years it seemed like innings programs gave you something to shoot for, now it's simply for completing collections, so that you can complete more collections. If that's your thing then yeah this was a great version. My roster of all 99s really hasn't changed much in a while, and I find myself with little desire to keep grinding.

I kept my Ps4, Netflix machine for the upstairs. Barely use my Ps5 though.

Anything has to be more fun than trying to hit 120 mph wiffle balls.

Awaiting 2042 as well. Playing Ghost of Tsushima, Borderlands 3 (again) and some Battlefront 2 mainly. Put this game away earlier this year than every other year as it's pretty forgettable. I play a couple hours a week now and it used to be the only game I played for months.
Mainly played offline with Events sprinkled in the mix. I've hit into more double plays in this game, which came out a month late, than I did in 19 & 20 combined. Throw in the insane defense <insert player X here> plays, and it's just stale. I'm a baseball junkie and I hope next year is better, but it's merely some added visuals and a roster change from year to year now with the same gameplay flaws and really bad netcode. I won't mention Moments. Well darn, I went and did it.

I start almost every post with, this is my first year playing DD, I played MLBTS 20 with friends head to head but never delved into the online and DD content. I also haven't owned a video game system since the original Playstation. I decided it was time to give the PS4 a try and bought the Show 21 and this game had been an amazing hobby for me over the last 6 months. I admit I am not the best reference point because I don't really know what other games are out there, but of all the sports games I've played (Madden, NBA2k, PGA, NHL, FIFA) this is by far the most entertaining. I admit, baseball is religion to me so I'm biased. I'm sure a few years down the line I will start to feel the way a lot of others do. But for now, this game has won me over not just to the game itself but to video games in general. I have no clue what to get next but I'm excited to start trying new games.

This is what happens too. The first 3 years of DD were fantastic to me, then it slowly degraded as I became more and more exposed to it and now I can't recapture that feeling I had from those first 3 years. Sometimes you just get bored.

I just can’t bear moments or showdown anymore. Even grinding conquest is annoying now. I can’t deal with the ai programming in the game. It’s too obviously tilted to make things close in every scenario.

*Last year I played well over 100-games in RS. This year: fewer than 20.
*I used to despise the marketplace but now find flipping cards by far the most rewarding and enjoyable part of this beautifully presented digital abortion. In the last week, I’ve made 3-million stubs and purchased Gehrig, Wagner, and Chapman. I’ve yet to use them online and might not!
*In years past, RTTS was my zombie escape mode. Not this year. Thanks for ruining that, too, SDS. Asshats.
*When I occasionally feel like I am “forced” to actually play one mode or another to finish card collecting, it feels like a dreaded filthy chore; one to be endured rather than an enjoyable leisure activity and my day is invariably worse when I turn it off in disgust.
I’m not a gaming expert or anything, but I can’t imagine having your customers hate playing your product is a sustainable business model…unless there’s another factor involved.
At first it was confusing when I realized that I kept playing this steaming slot machine pile despite hating it. Then I learned something about algorithms, group status (Making WS! Getting the banner!), gambling psychology, and ultimately dopamine addiction.
I don’t post much but I do lurk. So many complain and say they’re going to quit. Then someone else will predictably chime in saying, “you’ll be back next week/year” or even dig out an old post where the person said the same thing the previous month! Of course they’re almost always right. How many people joke about how the game blows geriatric sheep but how “addicting” it still is?!?
It runs far beyond MLB 21. The Dopamine Drip is designed into all of our contemporary digital simulators, platforms, and devices. In this game, and I assume others, its tube runs from the constantly refreshed content. They know it. This years game is something to be ashamed of. Do you suppose the flood of content, especially with the TA programs, is a coincidence?
I no longer rage at the game. It’s inanimate. It’s SDS itself that deserves the pitchforks.

Baseball season is winding down and I’m finding myself playing less and less. Started some other games in my back log like Yakuza Like a Dragon, started playing other games with friends like Back 4 Blood and New World.
I was never a big ranked player, think I went 6-2. Played a couple BR games but the majority of the online was friendlies. My friends have played less recently so that also leads to the diminishing playtime.

I can't believe I'm going to say it but I've been enjoying Maddens franchise with the new scouting update thr last few days. If you dont have next Gen aside from a few cut scenes and thr scouting/coaches it's basically copy and paste so unless someone buys it for you I wouldn't waste the money.

I love it. Whatever warts and all.
