Outfielders Charging Groundballs

So, I am not trying to suggest any conspiracy things...just trying to figure out if I think something is different that isn't. A few weeks back it seemed like my outfielders no longer charge balls like they used to. It seems like I used to be able to basically be able to charge a ball as much as I wanted in the outfield...now it seems that I can only charge it so much or even not at all at times. My outfielder will just stop or stand there and wait on the ball to come to them. Most of the time it doesn't impact things too much, but there are times where extra bags can be taken and are taken. So...has it always been like this and I just never noticed it until now?

They do seem to sit back and wait more often , not all the time.
