I don't typically post on these forums, but I have frequently visited them to see what everyone is saying and thinking about the game. Something everyone has always talked about was cheesers, but I had never experienced it terribly until today.

I've played religiously since '17, and I've always seen people bunt dance, but only a few times in a game. This morning I faced the largest bunt dancer I've ever faced. Every single pitch. Sometimes multiple times. And to add, he was consistently holding down R2 before every pitch. That was the most annoying thing. Not being able to pitch right away extended that game far longer than I wanted to be in it.

Just thought I'd share my first true experience with a god awful cheesing opponent. I apologize if reading this was a waste of your time.

Unfortunately there are quite a few people who play this way. I think it's actually meant to annoy you on purpose and throw you off your game.

I'm not sure what you're skill level is, but I always find that these type of players tend to rage quit once they find out they're playing a good player. It usually only takes a few solo homers in the first few innings for them to bail.

I don't know what I'd consider my skill level to be, however I would say that this opponent was actually fairly decent. He was 20-7 and scored 5 on me. (Although I suck at pitching this year) However, I did end up beating him thankfully, but I would confirm that his agitating antics did rile me up and knock me off of my A game a bit.

I find the knuckleballer entering the game to be more annoying.

Some people suck at the game and will use whatever tactic they can to try and get an advantage. I hopped on 19 for a couple of event games yesterday and ran into a bronze level 20 something who was doing the same thing. Luckily he couldn't hit so I eventually beat him, but it went to extra innings since my good/goods and good/squared ups kept resulting in line outs. It's just baseball though since good/squared up fastballs down the middle to Babe Ruth from subpar relievers often resulted in weak fly outs...

It's super frustrating when you're clearly better than a cheeser, but the game decides to make things interesting. The important thing is to not let them see your frustration, and to not give them an easy win since that's what they want.
