PS5 Tip: Extra Zoom Cam
-
If this has been covered or is widely known at this point - my apologies. I came across a thread on facebook where someone mentioned this tip for getting an "extra zoom" advantage with. Specifically, I think its most beneficial for hitting with the strikezone cam but others commented and said it helps with pitching too. Not so sure on the ladder. Here is the youtube link that was referenced. I tried it out in showdowns and playing conquest and have to say...it definitely helped me see the ball better and with pitch recognition. Figured id pass along in case others wanted to try or werent aware. There's somewhat of a learning curve zooming back out to control baserunners but not too bad. Curious on your thoughts if you try it.

TLDR - Basically, there is a setting on PS5 that lets you zoom in more which you can toggle manually with a couple button clicks - making hitting easier.
Again, not taking credit for this. Just thought id pass along. If its been discussed or shared in the past ill go drink bleach and save you the trouble of torching me.
Cheers.

Not seen it on the forum but seen it on moviegamingtv video.
Personally think its a form of cheating because of crossplay but whatever I would use it I think if i was on ps5.

Major gray area for sure, but it is native to the console unlike the Cronus so it's hard to really say if it's cheating or not. Sure it gives an advantage, but being on Next gen already has a frame rate advantage and I wouldn't call that cheating

Another reason to be upset we can't sniff a PS5 yet
Good thing Gran Turismo 7 is delayed or I'd storm the Sony offices, solo, hockey stick in hand 🤪 -
I have tried doing this a couple different times. Sometimes it seems like it helps a ton and other times it feels like I swing at too much garbage because of lack of pitch recognition. But there are also times where I struggle mightily on strike zone and have to switch to offset zoom to be able to lay off low pitches out of the strike zone. So maybe it's just me. lol

Interesting

I had never heard of this, but just looked and it appears to be an option on Series X as well. I tested it for a few at bats and it was easy to turn on and off. It was a different feel, so I will definitely have to give it some more testing over the weekend.

This explains why recently players who swing at everything beat me. I threw 95 percent balls if I missed over the plate every time it was a home run happened last two games!

Had to google this for xbox.
Zoom in/out with the Controller: Hold down the Xbox button of the controller until it vibrates. Press the View button and then use the left stick to move to the zoom selector to the desired area. Use the Right Trigger to zoom in and the Left Trigger to zoom out.Apr 14, 2020
I tried in practice mode, kinda fooked my eyes up but i have old eyes

I thought you could zoom on PS4 too? Idk. Not for me, and obviously not for the people who posted videos about it because they don't use it anymore either. It was like one of those 3 day fads.
I've even seen them try and use monochrome colors or whatever it is called to try to see the ball better lol.

Where is it at in the settings on the series x?
Thanks @Bearsfan217_XBL I’ll try it when I get home. My monitor also has an overscan mode.
